We are happy to announce we will have Matt Higby, Creative Director for PlanetSide 2 on air for a Q&A session as well! Got questions for Matt? Reply to the comments thread and let us know what you want to hear.

We will have multiple video guests and our topics will include:

  • Discussion with Sardus, and folks with real gameplay experience!
  • New Trailer Discussion (E3 Trailer)
  • Drone Strikes
  • Jimmy Whisenhunt joins the team.

This topic list is subject to change depending on upcoming news releases. Suggestions for a topic? Hit up the comment thread and let us know! Recordings will be available later on YouTube and live Video feeds will be available. Viewers can tune in at live.planetside-universe.com

Want to join in on the conversation? To join via video add PlanetSide Universe to your circles on Google+ and send a PM to Hamma with a link to your Google+ Profile. As the show draws closer we will add several participants to the AGN Circle. Chosen participants should be available 1 hour BEFORE the start of our broadcast as invites will be sent via Google+

If you join via video please make sure you have a quality webcam, a fairly bright room, and can take part in the discussion with no distractions. It should be just you on video without additional interruptions during the live show. See you on May 5th!

Update: We will have some beta keys to give away! Remember if you are a PlanetSide 1 Veteran you do not need to redeem the keys.

Re: AGN Community Night July with Matt Higby

With the command tree, how are they going to balance the objectives so that the entire team doesn't zerg over to a listed objective? Will there still be enough incentive for other players to not do the objective for the sake of holding territory?

I am worried players will just zerg around to the command objectives to get the bonus exp and not really worry about holding other territories

EDIT: To add to my question. Can a commander also issue a command to stay and defend existing territory to help curb a team from zerging? If so, how many active objectives can a single commander have active at any one time? PPPS - What is to stop a commander from issuing a "defend facility" command on a territory not currently being contested so that his team can farm for extra experience?

Thats cool, just means I dont need to keep trying all night and can just re-watch it with my weetbix in the morning.
Shame you guys had stream issues, there was a nice viewer turn out and most stayed tuned in after the Higby Q&A to watch the community show.

Yea! I'm not sure why all of a sudden my system decided to hose it's upload speed. The issue is definitely fixed now that I had some time to mess with it. We will do the community show next week.

Re: AGN Community Night July with Matt Higby

Just watched the video.... very good as always (even tho it's had to be cut short).

It was very good news about the return of SOI's.

And yes, I'd pay for the tablet apps!

Gernator are good (and with the prospect of Ants in the future)

I'm not totally convinced about the gameplay to spread the fighting out. But, in the ComicCon Higby said that the pop cap of 2000 doesn't mean a split of one third for each faction -> which means that unbalanced populations on a individual continent can permit the fight to move and that's good.
