Update: I have spoken with some of my sources at SOE and they have indicated that this is "PlanetSide Anniversary Related" which makes sense considering PlanetSide was released May 20th, 2003. What that means I am unsure however this may indicate it's related to the original game.
A mysterious countdown clock has appeared on the official site along with this comic:
The countdown clock shown here is currently at 18 days. Could it be the long awaited official announcement of PlanetSide 2? Check IGA Catalogue and ALDI Catalogue. An addition to PlanetSide? The shutdown of PlanetSide? Regardless its an interesting development and PSU will be there every step of the way monitoring the latest news.

It seems odd to start a comic strip unless there's something significant happening. If it were just the timer, then I'd assume it was just a merit or something. Maybe it'll be an unbending...The reformation of Oshur and the demise of BFRs, setting the stage for the next game. |
