Just saw this picture from a while back

And I thought to myself, wow that sky looks very nice. I can't seem to remember seeing nice skies like that nowadays?
It always seems like that light pink or the purple of night. Both of which I really don't like. I prefer blue tints... Black night would be awesome.. Even useful.
So tell me, am I just fighting on the wrong continents? Is there some settings I should change?
Was the sky in that pic removed?
and.. Let's start some discussion on black night vs. purple night.

Wow that sky is REALLY pretty. What happened to it? If they got rid of that sky for this one!?!? thats just not right

If it was exactly like earth that would kinda kill the story.

oh yeah they can keep the 2 moons thats cool, i just dont get why the clouds form rings around the sky: maybe because of wgs??

That is an old school screenie hehe. That sky was pretty nice..
There aer actually a few different skies, 3 or 4 which are used on multiple conts. But they all have that strange circular look to them.

The lack of a real night with real darkness has always annoyed me. I don't care what the sky looks like, but we should have darkness and we should have a nightvision implant.

I think a true night will be added one day. There just arnt enough reasons for it not to be. All vehicals and maxs have headlights(cept the wraith), and just shrinking the distance visble and replacing the purple with black would work fine. Only problem would be shadows, as those are fairly graphic intense, but would be required for true night.
Oh god just imagine the muzzle flashes in a large scale battle, especially if they shadows were handled Doom III style. I think id wet myself. Damn it now i have to go play DIII again.

yeah I would LOVE to see more use of dynamic lighting in this game and some sort of nightvision implant.
Just think if you killed the generator the base goes almost pitch black. Or you can kill the lights in a room... flash grenades--- the possibilities are ENDLESS!!!
