The Vanu on Markov forcibly removed all TR presence from their own Sanctuary linked continent, Forseral, and besieged their Sanctuary warpgate for about 45 minutes, until we got bored.
Here's some nice screencaps of various TR forces cowering behind the warp bubble. Enjoy.

They had almost all of forseral before the offensive.
Without pounder cheapness they couldn't hold a base at all. Pounder's just a lancer dartboard now.

Hehe the Pounder has ALWAYS been a Lancer dartboard.
Anyway the change on that Max was for the better, I still found it easy to kill people, yet I wasn't damaging myself as much with my own splash inside bases.
I was just a bit disappointed with the delay they added to the Rocklet secondary tho.:(

I never see that many TR in Pounder suits anyway. My DC Max is only effective inside bases and towers because outside it'll hit the dirt in seconds to Lancers and the Phoenix outside.
Considering the DC Max (AV Max) is pathetic against vehicles, I really don't see why they reduced the damage against infantry....it's all it was ever good at. Now it's going to be mediocre against inf and no better versus vehicles. Oh well, I'll keep the cert for now..

I am not afraid to make posts like this since I know the Vanu will never, EVER get nerfed. In any way.
By next week I expect Vanu infiltrators to get jumpjets and Vanu maxes to get light sabres (they are the only maxes with a free hand), while the NC AI Max gets a firing rate slower than the Decimator and the Vanguard main gun is replaced with a 100 shot suppressor.

and btw i was wondering what happened to the rocklet! DEvs u totally messed it up. It's so messed up i thought it was lag! It just sits there for 2 seconds. then spams the rockets like crap so that u kill urself from not knowing wtf is going on. plus the other guy is unscathed. I just might trade in my spec assault cert now... AV is better i hear.

Anyways what I take issue here is people saying the DC does no damage against vehicles. Bullshit. Driving a Vanguard a DC is one of the few things I fear because of their range and accuracy. No, you don't kill a tank as fast as you kill a MAX. It takes awhile to rip through a tank or MAX, but the same goes for every other empires AV MAX.
The reason it had it's damage reduced against infantry is TR had a MAX that was capable of heavy damage to vehicles/MAXs, was easier to hit vehicles/MAXs with, but tore infantry to shreds as well.
Was this continent locked during the day or during prime time. It means nothing if it didn't happen in prime time.
I don't think the nerf is responsible for over running a continent. Given enough people any empire could over run any continent with the right coordination.

First, I'd like to say GG on the lock (even tho locking continents isn't that rare, even up against a sanc if the zerg is in). Second, I'd like to say bring that shit to Emerald and we will show you what happens to disloyal colonists. But wait until late next week when I'm back from my vacation (t-minus 5 hours to departure... Take that, Job, and Computers, and everything here!)

I never said the DC does no damage against vehicles. I think twice before shooting at a tank with my DC because 2 hits from the main gun kill me before I scratch up the paint job assuming the driver doesn't laugh at me as it runs me over on the other side of the tree.
Here's an invitation to flame me. I think the DC should be immune to captured strikers as well. Every now and again there's a WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH, from far away and I take a dirtnap because some idiot TR didn't destroy his striker before he fell.
I was kidding BTW, but I do die to captured strikers of course.

I have on balance issue not related to the nerfs, but to the TR maxes.
If you're a TR AV max and you "anchor" anywhere near a Magmower, it'll just run you over.
Hell it'll run you over even if you're not.
I don't think this is really fair, as it is supposed to be an anti-vehicle max, not a speedbump.
I guess it goes for NC too but the TR max is really range dependant.
As I dont play TR I don't know if its really an issue, but it would seem like one to me.

If you anchor your MAX outdoors you're kind of asking for it anyhow. I found that the anchor is pretty much only useful in stairwells or defending a CC. Anything with more room than that and you're just asking for people to run around you and take pot shots from behind while you try and take the anchor off and turn around. The anchor is useful at times but it's probably used significantly less than the other MAX special abilities.

Any Nerf has nothing to do with the VS performance as of late.
They are no longer the underdogs they claim to be. Their population numbers are about the same as the other 3 empires (that fluxuates like all empires of course), and the last 3 or 4 days they've conquered more bases than the NC have. WHich i think is odd since the NC have always been the ones kicking ass and taking names on Markov. (other than TR)
Everyone focus's on TR and NC. I hate NC, and used to pity VS. But in all seriousness, they just got their act together and hardly anyone noticed tell now.
So if you want to claim your success on the nerfing of another empires piece of equpiment thats fine.. your only belittling yourselves and no one else.

Its a pattern I've seen in DAoC. The continent was overrun because of the nerf, but not in the way you might think.
The Vanu have been fealing down and out because their weapons packed too little punch. Now, they've regained confidence because they are more on-par with the Terrans, while the Terrans are less confident about their position.
Give it a week or so before you judge the nerf, that should be enough time for the moral on either side to even out. Meanwhile, the NC continues to kick ass.

Yep. I find that unless you're inside defending an area, anchoring down is not worth the increased rate of fire for the tradeoff of being a sitting target unable to move and with such limited rotation.

now i wouldn't say cowering. more like regrouping :) your probably right tough. we do have some wimps. i consider myself a wimp in the game. i sit back with my sniper rifle and knock down incoming troops.

The increased firepower is not worth the price of being a sitting duck. I rarely use the achor and half the time I do - I pay the ultimate price..normally dying as I try to begin moving again.

yeah lets try to rally support for the rocklet secondary fire mode. Since its common pool none of you NC or VS should be complaining about it.
