We currently do not know completely what armors can drive what but I would imagine any armor except MAXes can.

You could let the MAX ride on the roof :p
Just watch out for the low tree branches

Hamma had to get the Agile armor to fly his mosquito I thought?

Agile armor is described as being able to "drive/pilot ANY vehicle".

That would suggest reinforced armor is limited to certain vehicles but I bet the devs themselves aren't 100% sure about the specifics.

My question is can Reinforced Armors be gunners in a vehicle?

We know that certain armors limit vehicle use but even Hamma doesn't know which do what exactly.

Yea, I didnt have the chance to try every possible combination. :D

MAX's must be able to get into a drop ship for transport.

Hamma

Yea, there are a few spots just for a MAX in a dropship, you cant load the whole thing with MAX's however.

but can MAX's ride on the galaxy?

Vimp

:ugh: The Galaxy is a drop ship.

I thought u were talking about the orbital dropship

Hamma

MAX on Galaxy = Yes

MAX in Orbital Pod = no

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah...
And thus, the light of knowledge shines upon me
tnx Hamma  :D

I thought you could get any armor into a droppod??? Kind of sucks that they changed it. Maxes are going to be dependent on galaxies and Sunderers for transport then, unless they want to sprint all the time.

When did they say MAX suits can't be orbitally dropped, i was under the impression that all Infantry could use drop pods.

The more offensive vehicles will probably be restricted to weaker armor. If you were fighting a tank, only to find that just as you are about to destroy the tank, the pilot hops out with Reinforced Armor and a big mini-gun to blow you away with, you wouldn't be too impressed. IMHO, things like tanks, Reavers, and other strong fighting vehicles should be limited to the lowest kind of armor, to completely avoid the "pilot hopping out and kicking your ass" situation.

That can still happen pretty easily even with Agile armor.

But if the vehicle isn't much of a combat rig, it won't really matter, because you probably didn't spend much ordinance taking the vehicle down anyway. That, and Agile armor is by nature easier to defeat due to its lower armor and limited Rifle-category weapon loadout.

Warborn are win. :)

Having a MAX driving a tank would be like two tanks in one bundle, besides...tanks are mostly made up of metal, which means more armor, which means less room for big things. It would make sense that only a smaller armor could drive one. You also have to think of mobility though, reinforced armor wouldn't be able to turn a buggy as quickly. Maybe it'll make the meneuverability decrease if you drive something in reinforced.

With Reinforced armor I'd be more worried about the pilot crashing. Those helmets don't look too friendly on the peripheral vision.

I remember somewhere that even MAXS can drive larger and gun the larger tanks. And I think be the gunner of buggies but nothing more than that.

I very much doubt it, MAXs are a vehicle onto themselves, it would be stupid if they magically shrinked to get into a tank, would also mean everybody would walk around in MAX armor.

Could you explain in detail how someone with an armored fist the size of a basketball for one hand, and an enormous laser cannon or mini-gun or whatever for the other hand, is going to fly or drive anything.
