Been playing quasar for awhile and i love it. Jumpjets are fun outside for manuverability and escapes, plus u can get on top of thngs normal people cant. However i usualy have difficulty with enemy MAX's.

Usually im dead just as my second clip (AP mode) is about to run dry. I dont think the dmg on the quasar should be upped at all, but i think they should double the clip size, from 40 to 80. Sometimes 40 isnt even enough to take out reinf. If hes good and using cover etc.

Heres some calculations i did

Quasar as it is now:

Regualr Mode:

1 bullet a shot, 40 bullet clip, 10 dmg a shot. 10x40=400 Dmg
Minus about 5 missed shots.= 350 dmg

AP Mode:

2 bullets a shot, 40 bullet clip, 20 dmg per shot. 20x20=400
Minus 5 missed shots =350 dmg (in quicker time)

Quasar with 80 bullet clip:

Regular Mode:

1 bullet a shot, 80 bullet clip, 10 dmg per shot. 10x800=800
Minus 5 missed shots= 750 dmg

AP Mode:

2 bullets a shot, 80 bullet clip, 20 dmg per shot. 20x40=800
Minus 5 missed shots= 750 dmg (in quicker time)


This way i think the rapid firing Quasar wont run out of bullets so quickly and it will have a much easier time when facing enemy MAX's. So what do you guys think of this?

I'm all for it being Vanu and all... but I could care less since I'm always infiltrator or sniper :p

I never have trouble and I have Quasar, the thing is, it reloads super fast, so I go up to the MAX, kick his ass around, run out use jumjets while reloading, shot him some more, jump around etc

People take the jumpjets jsut to jump over walls and get to cool places? They are definetly usefull in battle :D

I play quasar MAX on a regular basis, i also feel the clip size is a tad small. The maximum # of ammo would be nice to se upped, if i switch to AP ammo, the clip becomes litterally 2x smaller.

I know the AP mode is not something that should be efficient againt armor (as it is right now), we should still be able to take shots at MAXes and vehicules to distract them or scare them without going out of ammo within 30 seconds.
