in the last few days i have repeatedly been kicked out the game, sometimes to the desktop and sometimes it restarts my computer. i havent installed any new hardware of software and it has only just started happening. i think it may be overheating as it happens quicker and quicker the more i use it (e.g., when i turn it on in the morning i can play for 45 mins without it kicking me, but then the next time 40, then 35 etc).

anyone know whats doing on?

If you think its overheation problems, Check your fans and make sure they're connected right. And that they are getting enough air. Otherwise reinstall the game. If that doesent work, concant PS tech support.

Make sure your video card driver is updated. Back in the beta, i could only play for 2 minutes before my video card would have an error. I went to my card's website, found the updated driver, installed it, and everything's fine.

hmm sounds like a driver/IRQ confilict.

uninstall ur driver and install the latest WHQL certified driver.

do that with ur sound card as well.

you can cheak whether or not they are certified by looking in the driver tab for your gfx card, under digital signer.

if the drivers you have are WHQL certified then set a system restore point and update ur VIA drivers. (assuming ur mobo uses VIA chipset, most do) use SiSoft Sandra if ur not sure

can get the lastest one from here. make sure you read the installation guide.

if that doesn't solve the problem, it should help (it did when i had a simular problem with IL-2: FB)

then after that post ur IRQ table here, assuming that didn't solve it.(it's in system information under hardware resorces).
