Hello Peeps, i got a question for ya.
At CR2, you get to use the /Command channel.
What is its range?
Is that channel fonctionning over the whole continent you are on or is it like the default chat wich seems to be over a small area (base SOI or so) ?

Kyler:
ok, command channel is to talk to other commanders on the cont.\
*Commanders Only Channel is what it is*
Gunner:
Do you mean just hit a button to look for a squad? or chat to the squad leader?
No one is in charge of everything (though several CR4-5 guys think they are :p )
you can type "/b" for brodcast in any friendly soi, or across the entire sanc, also there is a lfs button if you hit tab and move your mouse to the top right of your chat window. If you hit that it does a "/b lfs" auto for you, so you can find a squad
(lfs = looking for squad)
also, you can hit "/s" for squad talk if that is what you were talking about, just "/s orders?" or "/s next objective?" etc
Oh ya, everything is without hte "" just type what is inside them :p
if thats not what you needed to know, just tell me, and ill tyr and answer it,

Thank MrVulcan, you did answer the question in the first sentence.
I was refering to using /c and wondered how far the broadcasted chat was received. It is continent wide from your answer, good to know.
Something else then perhaps you can clarify, when you Broadcast "/b", i know you need to be within a friendly SOI to transmit but, is it received all across the continent also or only within the same SOI ?
The default chat or "/l" is only within a hundred meters or so...
/c is not continent wide at CR2. It has a limited reach. As you go up it increases.
Apparently CR2s can only talk to other CR2s using /c. In order to talk to a CR3 you have to use /report
CR3s can talk to CR3s and CR2s with /c, but have to use /report to talk to CR4s.
etc.
It's kinda weird and poorly documented.

Yea the command features were never documented well.
