Yeah i didn't buy PS. And right now im feeling pretty damn good about it. It seems like there are a lot of problems with lag and such. Anyway what i was wondering is if there was anything to look forward to that might make it worth paying 12 bucks a month for. (It'll have to be pretty awesome though) LOL i still have the sig from when i was in an outfit for beta:D
I have to say, you're really missing out on the biggest thing in online gaming since Everquest. PS is, of course, not without its problems, but it is the biggest rush I've had since the first time I played Starsiege: Tribes.

The thing that makes PS unique is that it is constantly patching, and in about couple months to half a year, this game should be the biggest thing out there! SOE always has something to throw out there, and you might want to get the game now, and play for the hell of it, or when its finally complete and everything is perfect, then you buy it, your gonna have to download EVERY PATCH that you missed when you didnt have the game installed, and that will take a day!

I'd say no you shouldn't be glad. The lag has almost been eliminated from emerald, and there are only a few minor bugs that they need to fix. I'd say it's worth the money and you're missing out man.

Buy it.
Especially if you are reading the OF, note that 99% of the crap there is negative. Because everyone who likes the game is inside playing :p

I'm almost dreading the fixing of the game's lag spikes. Without the lag spikes, when will I find the time to post on the PSU forums?
Seriously though, it's a lot of fun. Well worth the bling.
Well I post on the forums whenever the Vanu are in full retreat, so PSU is not in danger of losing my services as a poster.

Ah GREAT, I've already bought the game (Pre-Order discount) and I'm gonna have to wait till about September to play it. Patchathon.
STOP PATCHING - for my humble sake, then in september patch everything. Every fan counts...

if you use the "high" bandwidth setting, and your connection is 1.5mbit+, then the lag should be gone.
no lag on my 1500/640 ADSL connection since i starting using the high bandwidth setting.

I only experienced a little lag throughout a two or three day period... Now it's fine. Not only that the lag issues have generally been resolved, their constantly patching, which fixes and enhances certain aspects of the game. It's well worth the money.

Lag is alot better. IMO, until WoW comes out, the only MMO that seems worth the money to me. SWG pissed me off to much(especially for it's potential) and all the other games sound like utter crap or are too old. It's a great game IMO and one of my favourites...but I need sleep...NOW....My head hurts

Hey,
The reason a lot of us come here is because we are not in a position to play the game at the time. I'm on here when I'm at work! It is a way to get my PlanetSide fix in before I can go home and insert the actual adrenaline needle...

Same here... I don't read these forums when I could be playing... that would just be ludicrus...

Well i did play in beta but the thing was that this game can either be really awesome or suck completely. I remember there was one time where i got the perfect squad together and we out and kicked ass. But most of the time i got surrounded by idiots who had no clue what they were doing. Or people who would leave at the worst time. It just doesnt seem like its worth playing for such inconsistent gameplay. (Although if it was like 5 bucks a month id do it in a second)

It's been easily worth my $50 to get in the door, and I'll happily pay $13/month to keep playing. You really can't get much entertainment for $13 these days...
That said, when it ceases to interest me, I'll stop playing. I haven't had much trouble with lag/crashing, so that's not likely to drive me away.
