I hate snow. Sure it looks nice from HERE, but would hate to live in that crap. We had a bit of a wind storm in Houston. Winds got up to 80mph.
Not bad, i'm hoping for a snowstorm sometime this winter(about our year :() so i can show you yankies what a real snowstorm is. ;)
You haven't truly experienced winter unless it hits -20F and lower. :p

WHere the hell do you guys live? I'm here in Nebraska home of the perma cold and we haven't had but one snow this year. I guess it was building up to keep you yankee dogs in doors.:p

Yankies are people that live north of the Mason Dixon Line. The people that live south are Confederates.
Sorry for all those that I offended. I didn't mean this as a flame. Just some of my friends in EU call me a Yank without knowing what it means. Should of known when you all said Yankie instead of Yank.

Those pics are from the SOUTH??? I was reffering to the bitch of a storm the North East got Christmas day. I'm assuming thats the only place with that much snow in America (which I'm assuming is where these pictures are from). Thanks for clearing up the whole yankee thing since I'm apparently a moron. Gimme a little credit. Also I'm thinking Dio is from Canada land of the flapjack, so Yankee would be below him.
What he said. Also i wasn't refering to actual yankies but merely using yankies instead of americans. Sorry for the mix-up. :p

beats me, too cold. I hate this weather
Also besides temp (hopefully someone else can tell me) i have another question, how long does your winter usually last?

I havent met them, yet :p
I dont know how long winter is Dio, too long. Im sure its shorter than wherever you are :p
Do you live there or not ?!?! :p
Yeah i'm sure it's shorter than here, we usually have winter from Nov-early March at the very least. I'm just curious to know what winter is down there. :)

That's about the same, but it's cold longer than that.
Well yeah but to us cold is cold. Like in Oct (near Halloween) we might get some snow and it's usually around freezing but it's still not really cold or winter yet. :)

Screw that, cold is below 50. I HATE the cold.
Yeah but you gotta remember we are used to colder than you anytime of the year. In summer you probably get some damn nice weather, to us though hot is 77F and up. We don't even get above 80 much sadly. (sucks when you have a pool)

Well don't look at it as a pool, look at it as a personal ice skating rink.:p
Well it's not THAT bad. :p

I'm in Park City, Utah (winter games site), and we still have quite a bit of snow here. It's been melting over the past few days but it's still out there, in a very large quantity. My brother lives in New York City though, he has said that the snow is rediculous around there. :p

Don't worry about it, very few people are on my do not like list and you aren't on it....well yet. ;)

I have a friend who went to Michigan Tech, in Houghton, in the upper penninsula. Believe me, they had some of the absolute worst snowstorms, and always had a ton of snow.
A few things about Houghton...
Up there, they have roof shovels. You actually have to plough the roof of your house, 'cause they get so much snow that the weight of it all can cave in your roof.
They don't have snow plough trucks, like we do back in Detroit (well, they do, but not as many). No, in Houghton, they have bulldozers, dump trucks and augers big enough to eat a car.
We get some nasty storms in Detroit once in a while, and Kalamazoo/Grand Rapids, where I went to school for a couple of years, had that lake effect snow and it could get really nasty over there (transferring to school in Ann Arbor was such a good idea ;) ), but I've never, ever seen winters get as wretched as they do up in Houghton.
But one thing that gets me about that snowstorm that hit the midwest recently is how far south people really got hammered - we only picked up about 4-6 inches in Detroit.
Good thing that it didn't hit Texas -- they have ten car pileups and closed roadways when they get a quarter inch. ;)

I live in NYC, so I get little to NO sno, despite the fact that my outfit name is SNO. I got 4 inches off that stupid storm, and 3 inches on christmas. My family is from the Andes Mountains and I LOVE sno. I snoboard but I H8 skiing. I tried and I hit my head. I got so dizzy I threw up 3 times that day. the most NYC got was 12 inches in 1996. That was fun. I don't understand why everyone hates sno. even if you hate dealing with it, the song "let it snow" is sung supposedly by a guy who doesn't like it either. enjoy it! It's cool.

They're on the rear door, so you just can't see them when it's up. ;) (and I'm in new hampshire)
And wtf, below 50 is NOT cold. :) In the mornings it gets down to 50 IN my room. :D

HAHA the rest of the world is soo silly for using the metric system and celsius. When will they ever learn....
(sarcasm)
Well i dunno about the metric system but i definitely think a 0 freezing point makes more sense than 32. :p
