the thing is, i see most infiltrators w/their pee shooters crawling around. i think that's the wrong way to play infil.

u can only really cos mischief when u get a team where it hurts. killing some solo infantry outside doesn't do shit. nailing the eq terms does. just replace what's in those photos with the idea of what that would look like in a tower basement.

What is the max amount of kills you have gotten from only one boomer KidRiot? I don't mean daisy chaining them either. I've only been able to get three folks at once so far. I'm hoping to set some boomers at an AMS or in a spawn room for much more than that at once. As a stealther even, I suspect you could lay boomers in a busy spawn room unnoticed and get 20 kills at once (with multiple boomers).

Boomers ROCK if used intelligently! The best fun is placing them right on the inside of doors to CC's, and then you blast the hell out of the TR as they charge blindly into the room. hee hee Man, that has to piss them off! I just wish we had more good engineers out there who worked together...

I did the exact same thing the other day.... drop a boomer in the middle of a bunch of bad guys and run like hell, hoping you can set off the boomer before someone shoots you.

Great thing about situations like that is that if they start firing they will either shoot a friendly or lose you in the crowd.

I have been trying to as an infl combat eng sneak up behind a sniper, plant a boomer at his feet, then tell him that I am holding him hostage, and that if he moves at all i will blow him up. Unfortunatly doing this has turned out to be more complicated than i previously thought.

I have on many occasion underestimated their use :D like going up to one curiously when I first saw one as it was much bigger than a mine :D I was about 1 foot away looking at it and then BOOOOOOM!!

Well, from the ss, I see three guys not crouching, moving, and not in max suits, and the others are locked down maxes. The only other guy who could possibly have seen him is the guy crouching in front and to the left of him. Apparently that one individual didn't have DV. I would think at least one of the maxes would have DV on, but the problem is that KidRiot has already gotten in behind them! hehehe Even if they did have DV on, they are not facing the stealther to see him. With the maxes having DV on also, others who came in the room probably didn't stop to check with their DV. This is pretty sneaky! Please post more of your successes KidRiot when you can. They are definitely inspiring.

Many times in zerg situations there are soo many people running around that they don't notice a lone stealther.

One time i rescued a hack with 10 people guarding the CC... I just followed an enemy max into the CC then jumped up on the consol and started hacking... I was fortunate that no one had darklight on and they were a buch of idots. I figured that as soon as I started hacking they would hear the sound and blow me away... but they didn't.

It is possible at least. I was killed as an engineer last night with a lot of boomers deployed already. I ran back up to my corpse and looted my detonators. Then I was able to blow up my charges anyway. The only problem is that the charges will eventually fade from the game since the maker of them has died. It would be very possible for you to run in as a stealther, do your dirty deed, run like hell outside, get killed, run back to your corpse or get a friend to run to your corpse, loot the detonator, and blast the boomers.

outta curiousity, how did you get a screenie showing your speech? since exclusive beta, the screen shot removes everything from your screen and takes a shot of what you see. squad names and speach usually is removed froma screenshot. i'd love to get that back.

no. this was after, when we had left Ishundar and respawned elsewhere. I was in my default setup of agile/hammer and decided to enlarge my chat screen to see how many I had killed with my boomers.

we had just gotten zerged by TR on Ishundar so I was annoyed and ran to a base that had a hack on it by TR to kill as many as I could before I went to sanctuary.

hence the title, why the zerg sux. they must have had atleast 3 squads sitting in the soi waiting for the cap.

Probably so, since I usually lumber around in reinforced, but I'd sure as hell let my buddies know there was a bogey loose! Particularly the ones in the CC.

Anyway sounds like infil/surge/boomer. Gotta <3 surge. And hacking into zerged spawn rooms pwns. If its really crowded ina base you get around pretty quick with surge without alot of ppl even realizing it. Since they are all spawning there nobody has DL unless reconstructed there or they have been camping the basement for awhile.
