Hi there,

below please find a good estimate of experience required to progress through Planetside and the rewards for doing so.

If you have information for the levels I am missing, you are reasonably sure it's accurate and want to help, please send additions or corrections to [email protected] - please put the word Planetside in the subject.

(If I have to explain how to estimate the XP, please don't try to assist, I only need GOOD data that has been double-checked.)

From your friends at Golden Triad (www.goldentriad.net),
Enjoy.

Thanks for the note Naz. As someone who worked in this industry for over 5 years, I can tell you that Prima guides are written while the game is pre-release. Therefore, the numbers almost certainly have changed.

I'll add them to the chart in italics until they are verified. Thanks much!

This is from the producer's letter regarding things to come..

EMP Blasts: Imagine a Jammer grenade on steroids. A CR3-5 Commander can emit an EMP shockwave, centered on his position, that expands out, deactivating and disorienting enemy units around him. Soldiers lose their radar, all implants are reset, Spitfires and Alarm Sensors are deactivated, enemy vehicles are disabled, and mines and Boomers are detonated. All effects are temporary. Once an EMP Blast is used, the Commander must wait for a timer to expire before he's able to use it again.

See all Enemies: Command Rank 4 & 5 characters can trigger this Uplink ability and get a sense of the positions of all enemy units within a certain radius of the Commander. (CR5 Commanders have a bigger radius than CR4 Commanders.) Enemy positions are accurate, but they are only valid for the moment that the info was downloaded. The position blips darken and fade over time to show that they are "old intel" and aren't reliable any longer. This ability, once triggered, must wait for a timer to expire before it can be triggered again.

As far as I know, you don't get a uniform upgrade at BR20. Only at BR7 & BR14. I'll let you know for sure in 2 more BR levels though. ;)

From what I've seen this is pretty low. I estimated the xp required to go from CR2 to CR3 to be near 90k - and I may have been conservative. The chart in the first post seems fairly accurate to me. What does everyone else think?

Only at 7 and 14 yes.

eh.....I got a uniform upgrade at 18 in beta....dunno about 20 but I'm sure about the BR18 though.

As for that chart....something seems seriously wrong about it because it takes a whole lot more than 1,425 xp per bulb at level 17, lemme tell you....Maybe 14,250 xp per bulb would work but....definately not 1,425. I've been in 3 base caps with 5000 XP each (15,000) XP and at level 17, I only have 1 bulb.

When you hit BR15, it tells you that you got a uniform upgrade...I took some screens at BR14, then BR15; I will inspect later and see if they were really telling the truth.

I was supposed to get a uniform upgrade at 18 according to my information, however, there was no change in my reinforced armor after carefully checking screenies. I think 7/14/20 are the levels now. Not sure..

I should reconsider my use of terms. Currently:

bub - 1/100th of a level
bubble or line - 1/10th of a level.

A bub is the length it takes the lower XP bar to travel the length of one bubble (not fill in one bubble).

Therefore your assessment that my XP was 1/10th off was partially right, you were simply misreading my intentions. That clear it up?

Confirmed, uniform change at BR14, no change at BR15...

Well, I could've told you that...and I did, I think. I'll also confirm no uniform upgrade at BR18. From the posts on the SOE forums from people who have gotten to BR20, I can also say that there is no upgrade there either.

It seems to take forever to get CR's :\

Scotty24

That's because it DOES take forever to get CR.

As far as I can tell, it takes about 150,000 XP to go from CR3 to CR4. As far as I've calculated approx, it's about 15000 per little box of XP resulting in my approximation of 150,000 total from CR3-CR4.

So I think that guide is right on for that. Going from CR3 to CR4 was painful, but geez getting to CR5 is nail biting hard :(
