Not if it will help How-you-spell-it's campaign to become governor of MY state. He's extreme pro-gun-control, if you can believe that. "Vi-o-lance ees not ze answer, cheeldren."

I'll probably DL it. Few movies make me really want to go to the theatres. Especially when I might get ripped off.

Now now, how can you say that until you have seen it?

no, no, i mean, i don't think the movie is bad, but they just put in the biggest time paradox of all.
at the end of terminator two,
SPOILERS
the advanced AI disks that they created that were required for skynet and the terminators were destroyed, right? so how can skynet exist, or even send back the TX through time if the stuff required for its creation is destroyed? in that case, john connor shouldn't even be the guy who he is now. but, whatever
That is what you would think while following conventional time theory, yes.
I prefer something simpler.
Time marches on :p
There would be no paradox of 'since the thing aint going to be created, how can it send it back, etcetcetc'. Simply, the future is changed, it aint created, time goes on. Oh well!

but then we can't have huge 8 page debates over the time paradox created by the terminator

Haha, she can terminate me any day, am I right?
Aaanyway, yeah, I'm probably going to drag my girlfriend to it. She thinks it'll blow though, and I have a feeling it'll be "not so good", but that's OK. Seriously, computer animated Terminators look badass. I hope they have a good bit of that gritty futuristic man vs machine warfare also (loved those parts).
I also want to go see it because apparently the director of T3 is thinking about an Alien vs Predator movie in the future (rumor, don't quote me), and I want to know if I need to assemble my hit-squad to make sure nobody kills off the AvP movie franchise before it starts.

I want it to be great, but really, it's probably gonna suck.
James Cameron isn't directing. The reason why, is because he said 'the story is over' for him. If HE says the story is over it IS over, as he made it all up. Secondly, the Terminator films thrive on action sequences. Jim Cameron is the KING of action (IMO John Woo is 2nd) so if any other director tried it, the whole base of Terminator won't feel right or be good enough.
Thirdly, Schwarzenegger (spelling?) is way too old now, and won't be able to do any of his own stunts. If he does try, the stunts will be crap. If he doesn't, it won't look right (It's sooo easy to spot stuntmen!).
Finally, if you've seen the trailer, you'll notice that there are quite a few Futuristic areas. Man that's gonna suck, i don't know why, but the whole appeal of Terminator (to me) is the fact that these things are unstoppable in todays society. If they could die (As they can in the future world), the fear and coolness that the terminator brings will be destroyed.
But I will see it, as I'm a huge T1 & T2 fan. I'm just stating the facts (to be)
-----------
P.S. I've heard that the AvP movie is being directed by Paul Anderson (Of Resident Evil fame). If he DESTROYS the coolest sci-fi characters of all time, by releasing a piece of shit film, I will personally hunt him down

If AvP comes out fuming, I'll be doing some hunting, as well.

He did all of his own stunts (or almost all?) and he didn't have any problems with it.
Yeah, here (http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/Movies/06/21/schwarzenegger.ap/index.html) we go.
