i'm near-positive this has been talked about but what about those giant clans with 200+ members and their outfit points out the ass. how would they work with it? i don't see why they couldn't average out everyone's individual points. comments/link to the other thread of this would be appreciated.
also what about commanders like me that don't want to have an outfit right now?

I think outfits are as much a part of this game as squads and vehicles.
As for larger outfits having more points. Is that any different a problem than a larger outfit having more people?

what? the people-points thing is directly related.
and no - i disagree with the outfits being as common as vehicles. or whatever you were trying to explain. it's a commitment that some players do not want to make. its a simple fact that some people just dislike guilds/clans/outfits and the devs should not force this on commanders.
don't want to use guns? please explain what you're trying to say. i don't see how outfits are analogous to guns in this game.

Im sure there are outfits out there that dont require allot of commitment :p there are probably plenty who are around just so its easier to find a squad

what? its not that i dont want to make a commitment i just don't want an outfit. their choice to use outfit points for command features wasnt thought out well enough at all imo.

Actually it was, it prevents a ton of CR4+'s without outfits to run around orbital striking everything. This game is built on teamplay, there are things you just should not get unless you are in an outfit.. i doubt this is the end of the outfit only tweaks to Command Rank ;)

built around teamwork i can agree with.
but not outfits. at least not when it comes to commanding. to make commanders join outfits just to use an ability is just unfair. and like i said what about the big outfits? they'd be able to do it as much as they wanted considering they have hundreds of thousands of points.
besides whether the cr4+ commanders have outfits or not shouldn't affect his/her ability to use abilities. and there would be different methods of balancing the abilities concerning commanders without outfits. they have mentioned nothing like this making it so only people in outfits get the incentives.

My outfit is fairly small in the entire scheme of things, and we manage with quite a few points ;)
It should be tweaked to a percentage of some form rather than a set amount.

and btw I believe command abilities should be much more rare than they will become. People should be trusted within their own outfit and be elected to command rather than just get global broadcasting etc etc..
CR should be much harder to attain and it should involve a level of trust, IMO

well concerning affecting command points - yeah i agree with that. percentages of total. but even so an average would be a good solution to me. that would make it outfit skill based. a noob outfit would have an avg of hmm lets say 700 but a skilled outfit would have thousands. makes sense to me.

I'll reply for Smokejumper,
"We know about that, and it's something that's on our list, but it's not a priority right now".

what are you like smoke little puppet or something? jk ;) but there needs to be some sort of trust involved, like you said. If CR4/5 in your outfit is blowing all the points on orbital strikes, kick him. It's not that difficult. plus with the 3-hour timer, it's not that easy to go crazy with it.

Make outfitless commanders use up CEP until they join an outfit. One lego a shot? This would not let you drop a command rank.
How many OP is it currently to buy EMP and Orb?

I couldn't put it any better. EMP Blasts: Imagine a Jammer grenade on steroids. A CR3-5 Commander can emit an EMP shockwave, centered on his position, that expands out, deactivating and disorienting enemy units around him. Soldiers lose their radar, all implants are reset, Spitfires and Alarm Sensors are deactivated, enemy vehicles are disabled, and mines and Boomers are detonated. All effects are temporary. Once an EMP Blast is used, the Commander must wait for a timer to expire before he's able to use it again.
I'm pretty sure EMP blasts will not cost outfit points. There's no mention of them costing OP like the OS does.
