Wow did anyone read that review? I can't believe Hamma linked that thing off the front page. I mean what game was that guy playing?! Here are some of the glaring inaccuracies from the review.

The Vanu Sovereignty:

This advance group, specialize in hi-Tech skill and weaponry. This group boasts powerful weapons but lacks the speed and mobility of the New Conglomerate.

Errr... no ...wrong.

The New Conglomerate:
This group is a well balance of both the Vanu and the Terran. Although they do not stand out in any area, there versatility is enough to give them the edge.

Looks like he got NC and VS mixed up.

Using a hit point system similar to any other role playing game, players start out with 100 HP and specialized characters such as infiltrators and Hackers start with 50. The maximum number of point you can attain is 600.

Wow this guy is cluess. Everyone has 100 hp (health), the armor varies depending on what you are wearing (or driving). Max armor is 650, reinforced 150, agile 100, standard/infil 50.

Instead the higher ranking soldier may have and advantage of mobility, weapons, vehicle versatility, and weapons accuracy.
Woah where can I get the increased mobility and accuracy?! I want those!

So an engineer with enough points can fix not only vehicles, but can now fix satellites and turrets.
They can fix Satellites-- woah I'm really missing some aspects of the game or something...

Another way units can upgrade are through Implants slots. These slots allow you to gain special abilities or use cybernetics to modify your warrior. There is one note, special abilities can be changed over the course of a 24 hour period, however cybernetics are permanent so choose wisely.

Hrm you can change implants at will....

I'm not even going to mention the too numerous to count spelling and grammar errors in the article. Really a poor review, I give it a 5/100.

Maybe he got this information from some other idiot or maybe he got this info when the was in early planning stages. I'm not really sure. just thinking out loud here.

I agree, the NextLevel review sucks. Its glowingly positive, but just full of inconsistencies, bad grammar, and bad information. I like his mention of 'graphical bandwidth'.

Everyone can have a gaming site nowadays, it seems.

This isn't the only weird one, but it's the worst by far. Sometimes I wonder if the Internet is really a good place to find gaming information.

Uhm.. You can get a magazine here, and they are not so wrong like the guy here, but they just say all the negative points in detail, and compare it with BF1942 or Tribes 2...

They forgot all the excellent things in PS: Big wars, a little bit of an RPG and a lot of fun :)

Planetside ISNT BF1942 and PS ISNT Tribes 2 IMO! I would compare it with everquest, or if someone ask me what PS is, I would say its everquest in the future and with weapons... huh no, I would tell him about the whole kewl gameplay :) But what I want to say: We will never get alot of people in here when all magazines or internet writers describe PS like this german magazine writers... either when they describe it like your st0ned guy ;)

hehe, good lord those are some pretty bad inaccuracies. It's getting tougher and tougher to rely on reviews these days simply because rarely has the reviewer put enough time into the game. Particularly with PS, you should play at least a month, and then at least give a follow-up review after another month. All these rushed verdicts on things only time can tell aren't that helpful.
