BTW NC sucks, shotguns can't do shit if you keep em at a distance, and if you're good enough they can't do shit close range. Also the whole yellow thing will really suck at night, and day too :p

Punisher is Common pool. Gauss will rock though.

I chose Vanu because they wear thiner armor, and once you get inside a base, you'll need armor or firepower. Vanu have neither.

All the empires are a bit extreme for my tastes, but I dislike the Terran's because of their soviet-crush-all-oposition type thinking, and I dislike the Vanu because they remind me of a freaky cult :o

Well since my first character is going to be a basic grunt, I mainly compared the assault rifles. Gauss seems to be the best out of 3, which was my initial reason for joining the NC ;) Really hate the cycler (TR) though, high ROF and less accuracy it seems, where the Pulsar(Vanu) seems to be a little weak in the long-range departement ;) I voted TR for the benefit of this poll though :evil:

I've always been under the impression that the Vanu will have the advantage in long range combat because of their laser weapons whit wery little recoil and high precition. *shrug* could be that i'm wrong.

Oh but I was only talking about those 3 assault rifles. Both Gauss and Vanu assault-rifle list "long" at range category. The description of the vanu one makes it clear that it will do most damage in the short-medium distance though.

sPooT i've read the discription but lets think here.. an assault rifle whit very little recoil... should make it better at range than it's counterparts for laying down fire because less recoil should mean more precition.

Anarchy is retarded, and the NC winning would just result in a huge civil war that'd end with rebellions crushed, and the NC themselves handed their collective asses.

Oh, and the TR aren't oppressive. They'd be oppressive if they restricted education, abolished written language, and eradicated history. They're restrictive, but necessarily so, as you can't run an Empire that spans worlds if you preach freedom. Otherwise you have people like the NC starting rebellions and causing war and violence to disrupt the peace.

Yeah when I come to think of it, it doesn't make sense either :P It seems the Vanu's Assault rifle has a confusing description being both low recoil AND most effective at short-medium range. And you're right, theorizing is fun too ;)

If you look at pictures it seems to be about 1-1.5 feet above the ground. I'm pretty sure that'll be able to run over pretty much everything. You'd have to be prone to not get hit... and guess what, there is no fucking prone :p

EDIT: Everybody is assuming that the Vanu weapons are weak. The Devs are not going to allow the weapons to be unbalanced, they are all balanced in their odd little ways.

I started this poll thinking that NC would probably get all the votes due to seeing other polls in which they have the lowest present. Personally, i like Vanu for some reason, probably because i think their Tech will good for hacking and sneaking around with big fuking knives, viciously stabbing people to death (lovely day for a picnic...), but im only slightly depressed because it seems that if you are on NC or TR, they mostly hate/fear(probably not fear but i just like saying that) VS. so thats why i think most of the votes are going to VS. I still might join TR but probably not. thats why i voted NC because there basically third on my list. But i could change my mind when the game is actually out and there is a better feel of what are each capable of.
