i'm an infantry man, myself. i've tried various vehicles, driving and flying, and I simply aren't as effective (can't get out fast enough to heal/revive effectively). Thus, i've decided to spend my three points on a weapon cert.

the question is, which one?
I'm a TR, and i am DETERMINED to remain in an agile exosuit - thus, i have to choose weapons that i can switch easily, or can work with in many situations, as i'll have only one rifle slot.

I'm aware of the shortfalls of the MCG, but i could always loot lashers and jackhammers if i bought HA.

AV would get me a neat rocket launcher, and i'd like to take out enemy vehicles, but would it be too much trouble to switch between that and the cycler to take out infantry? is the repeater or AMP good enough to use against infantry so i can keep my striker equipped?

With SA, i'm not sure if i'd end up using the Decimator, the Grief Launcher (aka Thumper), or the Rocklet gun. From what i've seen rocklets aren't as strong as they could be, but are they still effective? how about plasma grenades from the Thumper? any suggestions for that?

Remember:
-TR
-Agile Armor

which cert would you suggest, and why?

I like AV because I actually feel productive when I take out a vehicle or a max with my striker. If I was NC I'd probably use HA because of the JH but since our chaingun isn't the greatest weapon in the world I don't.

does it work without another rifle, though? i need to know the advantages of each because i will NOT get reinforced armor. (gotta have the speed, and the low surge cost of agile).

i can hold one weapon, so what should it be?

If you use one slot you should use a cycler or a mini chain. They're ok but it completely depends on what you want to do. I use reinforced EXO so I have a couple of loadouts I use depending on my situation: Cycler/Stryker or Cycler/Bolt Driver.

If your determined to stay in agile, AV would be almost worthless to you, our HA weapon is also kinda crappy, so you don't really want that, and Spec Assault gets you three extremely good secondary weapons, so thats not gonna help you without rein. My suggestion would be to pick up either medical, hacking or engineering.

ok firstly I'm a firm beliver you should make your on desicions, of your own expriences, since everyone is different.

This is my preferance, it works for me it might not work for you:

I use the chain gun with light armour and surge. This makes the cg super effective, since I can dance around the slower players and shoot them to death with minimal damage. Against vehicles and such my gun slot holds some grenades, usually not enough to kill them, but enough to send them running for repair.

I really prefer the Special Assault Cert, because of the variety of equipment. I use each one for a specific purpose.

Thumper with plasma nades absolutely rocks against infantry. Especially when you hold the high ground. The alt fire is great for those tower and base fights when you want to place some grenades around corners or have them bounce further down a hallway. The splash damage is good against troops using cover.

The Rocklet is great against MAX, vehicles, turrets and deployables.

The Decimator is absolutely wonderful for bringing down MAXs. I love sneaking up on a MAX from behind and then hitting them with the Decimator at point blank range. They can't turn around fast enough before you launch that second round into their side. I even have a dual Decimator/ Reinforced armor load out that I use for anti-vehicle puposes. I can switch between the two faster than waiting for the launcher to reset.

If you only have one slot to use, and you want to be good vs. both infantry and vehicles/maxes, definetly go for a rocklet gun. You can hit a stationary infantry or moving land vehicle at medium range with little problem, and in addition to being effective against hard targets, it will make short work of any infantry within 30 m.
