LOL WTF?!? (http://appft1.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&u=/netahtml/PTO/search-adv.html&r=1&p=1&f=G&l=50&d=PG01&S1=20020198882.PGNR.&OS=dn/20020198882&RS=DN/20020198882)

It seems that selling everything on earth isn't enough for Amazon. First they lay a patent on "1-Click Shopping" and now they're going to try and claim session-based personalization as their own domain.

If you're a web developer or you like the internet, you may want to consider taking your business to someone who isn't trying to systematically rape web technology.

Anyone who is into politics knows Al Gore invented the internet. At least he said he did. So his name should be on everything.

They are trying to Patent Spyware, and Invasion of Privacy. They want patent technology that can tell where you have been on the web (like BestBuy.com), and what you looked at so they can try and sell you the same thing?

Making recomondations based on what I have looked at on their site, or what I have bought in the past is one thing, but trying to sell me stuff based on what other sites I have been to pisses me off.

Thanks for spying on me you bastards, look forward to not seeing any of my bussiness again.

Well all Amazon is going to accomplish is attempting to sell lots and lots of porn to everyone. That's what 3/4 of the sites everyone visits are anyways AND DON'T LIE!!
