Favorite Weapon

Ok, it's your chance to list your favorite weapon(s) in the entire game. It could be MA, HA, Sniping, MAX etc. Please don't turn this into a "...nerf this..." or "...nerf that..." thread. Just curious on everyone's thoughts...it could even be outside of your empire.

Here are mine:

(1) Bolt Driver (With Range Mag, you can't tell where I'm going to shoot from!)
(2) Thumper (Love bouncing the grenades around walls and down stairwells!)
(3) Jackhammer (I'm TR, but loot these every chance I get!)
(4) Cycler (Good all-around back-up weapon)

Decimator no doubt! There is nothing that compares to smashing the cornerstone of 99% of TR's defenses... 49 engineers healing a MAX that gets two decimators on second mode slammed into his forehead, then the stunned look of 49 engineers as the zerg follows you up the stairs.

Second I would have to say the rocklet, I love defending a tower from the roof using a rocklet rifle to kill people as they come.

* Magrider: I've named it "The purple shark". Me and my gunner can keep 1 tank hovering and killin', for hours on end.

* Decimator: BOOM!

* Rocklet: (Thick Cuban accent) "Say hello to my lil' friend!"

* Sweeper: Very good for 2 cert points... But of course I wish it was a JH.

1. REK. ill ownt anybody in my infil suit holding nothing but one of these. granted i may go steal some vehicles or hack an equipment terminal in the process :brow:
2. ACE. there's just something about blowing things up.
3. AMP. dont leave home without it
4. repeater. gotta love sniping people with a pistol.
5. jammer grenades. get a pack full of these in an infil suit, and circle strafe a max. it's bunches of fun.

1. Thumper with plasma grenades. I like watching people turn green aqnd burn. Has a nice visual satisfaction.

2. The 12mm machinegun on the Lightning. Up close that thing reminds me of a chainsaw cutting people in half.

3. Decimator. Got to love knocking MAX units over with two well placed shots. Has a nice revenge factor built in.

4. The Starfire MAX gun. I'm pretty handy with it and I like watching all the pretty glowing balls race toward the target once I get lockon.

5. The Pulsar on AP mode. I love the sound it makes and it puts a good hurting to MAXs, Reavers and Mosquitos caught out in the open.

i was joking about the dual supressors. an outfit mate of mine told me some vanu charged a tower with dual supressors and 2 rek's in his sidearm slots.

i thought it was el O el

dual jackhammers is kinda nice. one pre-loaded with ap ammo. tho exo is just too damned slow and i think u'd come out on top of more situations with agile/surge hammer.

I have more than my fair share of scary stories involving clakers and AMPs. I think the best was set in the dark ring hallway around the Amp station CC. We ahd finished the cap and were all getting some engie loving. I was just heading out, a storm was setting in and the first crack of lightning had just bolted from the sky. A squadmate yelled "Stop". He was a meic and I was in need of some rejuvenation. He begins the healing process. I then see a shimmer, I tap DL, see nothing. I figured it was prolly a friendly anyways. Just as I was pondering that and amp opens up into the medics back. He is down in a second. I was in close proximity to friedlies and was reluctant to use my Thumper so I unholstered my AMP and flicked on DL. By this time the CC is alerted and everyone was opening up. The cloaker was ripped to pieces.

I swear though, the instance was straight out of a movie. The poor medic is always the one to die in war movies. Right when he is needed most.

Hmmm... after playing all 3 empires on different servers, I gave this some thought to my own personal favorties. I'll list them for each empire.

I like the other weapons, but those three are my favorites.

1.) Cycler, just a damn good general purpose weapon
2.) Decimator, nice and simple, and keeps my invo empty so i can fit more support equipment
3.) Bolt-Driver, i love shooting people who never even see me
4.) Thumper, workable for regular fighting, but owns all in a few situations
5.) Hand Grenades, ussually carry a few around, good for flushing people out of cover.
