Ive got a system.
First i go to Yahoo.com and check out the major news. They sum up news reports and give me the basics for major events.
Then I go to www.drugereport.com and see what they got. Druge Report is my #1 news site. They always link to the best professional and freelance news sites.
You can find "late-breaking" stuff on drudge report that you wont find on major new networks for minutes or even hours.
Then I check CNN for the somewhat liberal slant of things but mostly to check CNN Money to see how the economy is doing (Go Bush!).
Anyway, on either of these 3 websites I can usually find an interesting tidbit. Yahoo and CNN report on major ones and DrudgeReport links to random funny things like the guy that made 900 police calls and the bear that ate the doritoes.
Despite that, Drudge Report is mainly a conservative news outlet. Fair and balanced (and i say that with a straight face, unlike Fox News who i still love to death).
