Im new to the game and am very confused on how to set the joystick up so i can use it to fly the reaver. I can set the buttons to make it rise, land, fire, and switch fire but i cannot get the joystick to actually steer or control elevation and the joystick works fine in other games....is there a setting that i missed??? can someone plz helpme? I would greatly appreciate it.....thanks

Not sure if joysticks are fully supported yet.
Remember, the air vehicles are more like helicopters than jets - so perhaps a keyb/mouse combo would be better anyway.

I tred using my X45 joystick/throttle
Launched a mosquito from the sanctuary. 30 seconds later I was wrapped round a tree :D
It was a pig to control and I couldnt get the throttle to work hence my up close and personal encounter with the tree.
I suppose it is easier with the mouse, but I'd really love to use a joystick to have more control :(

Yeah, joysticks are not well supported in PS. I've always used one for flying, but it's damn near impossible in PS. I'm guessing joystick support is low on thier list of tweaks and fixes right now tho.

They are supposed to be supported, but it is somewhat buggy at this time.

Messing with the sensitivity on the joystick might get it to work.

1. Joystick controls not supported:
There are many joystick commands, buttons and options that are not compatible with Planetside at this time. This is something that we would like to add in the future, but it is not a bug that these commands do not work.
Sorry. :(
