If you go get a Basilisk for example and you take it out to some trees and get off to snipe for a while is it a real liklyhood that your vehicle will just fade away on you. Then when some one gets annoyed with you and comes at you in a vehicle and you turn to your ride to get away, you'll just turn around to find out your ride has dissapeared on you and your then a sitting duck to be plucked by any enemy vehicle in the area.

I believe vehicles stay until they are destroyed/hacked/you exit the game.

Well yes and no. Vehicles will stay until they are destroyed. They will disapear after a certain amount of time if you die or exit the game. I also assume that for lag purposes they will also disapear if unused for a certain amount of time.

This is something I am not sure on I would assume that it stays for quite a while if you stay alive. Simply because it would suck if you were in the middle of nowhere, hopped off to go for a walk and came back to find your vehicle had dissapeared

I was under the impression that your vehicle (you can only "own" one vehicle at a time, getting a new one gives up ownership of the other one) will not go away at all unless you log out or die (at that point it gets placed in discard and will be "thrown out" after a certain amount of time). Or if someone destroys or hacks it and takes it away of course :D. Vehicles will probably be a very integral part of the game, even when not in use. They do have trunks after all, so they could be used for storing extra ammo/supplies to restock on if you get low. Plus, if you survive that long, you will need it for extraction.

Well first off your vehicle isn't destroyed if he hacks it, it just changes owners. And also i assume even if you stay alive they won't let you spend 40mins without using your vehicle, it would make no sense and creater unnecessary lag. If you haven't at the very least hoped on then back off of your vehicle for the past 20-30mins then you probably don't need it anymore hence it should go.

It would suck if you crashed into a lake and your vehicle disappeared :D

It would really suck to loose your ride and spend a few hours trying to hitch a ride back to base or while walking back your ass gets sniped or even cut by an invisible stalker. I think there should be a stat for what kind of kills you get whether it be what gun, grenade, missle, knife, etc. that would be cool, knife kills would be the best cause there the hardest to get and a humiliation for the player that got stuck. :p

"It would suck if you crashed into a lake and your vehicle disappeared " Well fearless leader, what *is* it like???

My guess is that you get one vehicle, when you get a new one, your old one stays around for X mins so someone else could grab it. Now if you're out hiding, I'd guess that your vehicle wouldn't dissapear, but it might have a "range finder on it". If you're 20 miles avvay, then you don't need it, but if you're 200 feet away, you could be on the way back.

Also, I don't know that I heard a definate answer....When you gaffle someone else's (empires) ride, does it stay looking the same, or does it turn your color? You could drive right up to a base if it stayed the same, less someone noticed your name wasn't poppin up. What about radar, does a jacked ride show up as hostile?

Well i know for sure the color changes when you hack an enemy vehicle, as for radar dunno, i would assume since the color changes so does the radar status.

Weird, I thought I replied to this once. Anyway, whats the logic in that? What is it a special coat of paint that determines the drivers political persuasion? Doesn't make sense to me.

I was wondering the same thing but in a slightly different way. Ok say I have a galaxy I drive everyone to enemies base and know I want to switch it for a Reaver. Where can I store the Galaxy and where would I get a Reaver? Is there a storage unit in bases for people or at warp gates?
