Im part of the TR and was wonderin what ground vehicle would be good for some VS and NC slaughterin. I was thinkin maybe the lightning. I would use the maurader or tanks but i dunno if the driver gets battle experience if a gunner wastes someone....i think it would be fun to cream infantry. Anyone give me some suggestions? Which ground vehicles are badass?:trrocks:

Join VS and drive a magrider, they are the bomb.

Oh and please get a lightning if you don't, I kill lightning with my lasher on a daily basis 8)

Anywho, I would say the best ground vehicle is the Vanguard, but I am biased. :D

EDIT:
Whoops, just realised what empire you where. TRs Heavy assault buggy is quite good. If you don't like some other goon doing all the gunning, I am afraid that the lightning is the only option. Just cert up, grit your teeth, and pray for a boost. It is actually kinda fun, once you get past the crippling weakness of it all. :D

I think tanks are the best! That doubled w/ advanced hack and you can have a magmower, vanguard or prowler... its kinda tricky, I'm NC and i got a Magmower today. There was one guy in the gunner position and i waited forever for him to get out. Killed him and jacked it, ran tons of Vanu over for bout an hour. Anyone on Konried wanna share tanks? hehe

I would go with the marauder. I use an enforcer because I am NC however I imagine they are fairly similar. Good speed for getting places and very easy to run people over. :D

Heavy Buggy's nice for TR/NC, although Thresher (VS Heavy Buggy) is still seriously lacking. All three empire's tanks are quite good at what they do.

I'd get the Prowler, or if you are a grunt get the Marauder.

The Prowler is very effective against both infantry and vehicles when loaded with 3 guys. The chaingun is far more effective against aircraft and footsoldiers due to its arc and ROF. The cannon is still effective since it fires quickly and with little arc (cannon shells fly pretty straight). At range, a Prolwer is more effective than a Vangaurd unless the Van has a very capable gunner (basically because you know you are going to miss 3/4 shots so being able to fire more often maximizes the damage over time). Problem is that it takes up a whole other person to man the machine gun.... which lets you take on multiple targets though. Up close I'd say the Van would own because its lower profile, bigger gun, and more effective in most terrains (not that that was your question).

The Marauder is nice for a grunt because you can wear reinforced and carry two other squadmates with you to towers. It has more than enough firepower to be defensive or even somewhat offensive on your way to the next objective. Having an extra spot to hold someone I think is actually a benefit over the enforcer since you typically get one when your squad doesn't have or want to use a gal or sunderer to move everyone. Doesn't have as much armor though.

Do NOT get the lightning. Its a POS. It seriously needs way more armor (not firepower) before I would ever consider spending my 3 certs on it. You can break wind in its general direction and dent the armor.

Overall i think the vanguard is the best , on most hillside battles with a good gunner the vanguard owns. I like the enforcer also, its strong, its fast and its got a good rocket launcher (hit and run attacks) :). But then again im a NC biased piece of sh*t lol

It is kind of unfair that we get 300 extra armor with the Enforcer heavy buggy over the Marauder. Granted the Marauder has more firepower, but it also takes an extra person to operate and looks big.

Can understand that the Thresher has weaker armor since its a hover vehicle and weight is an issue according to the description of Vanu hover technology. The guns and "suspension" on it could use improvement though (it needs to hover over little cracks and bumps and stay stable).

But I definitely concur that the Enforcer rocks if you are NC. It can climb like a mo'fo, has good armor, and the rockets shoot exactly where you point them (even if they are slow) and deal quite respectable damage against foot soldiers and vehicles alike. I just traded it in for the Sunderer though because I needed a vehicle I could transport my squad with that is more readily available than a galaxy.
