surge

is the surge implant good for someone useing reinforced armor...i know its really useful for infiltrators but i was pondering on useing that instead of regeneration due to my recent medical cert.

Surge is the greatest of all the implants. I'm reinforced and if you've got to pick one, that's the only option.

I haven't been on these forums since release, and found out yesterday all the people that spent all day on these forums before release don't actually play the game very often. Thought you'd all be the gods of ps because of how much time you have on your hands. But most are br10-15 and less than 1000 kills.

im srry i cant be on my gaming computer all day is it my fault that i dont really get much time everyday i get somewhere bout 2-3 hrs a day and im sure the others are stuck in the same boat (i know im not to well know)

Same thing here. I'm only able to play about 2 hours a week (and that's usually on 56k). Don't h8 on us just because we're busy. :) I spend more time paying my $13/mo to work on this site for you guys than I do playing the game. :lol:

Yeah, my question is why pay 13$ a month if you can't play it at all? If I didn't have as much time as I have this summer, I would never have gotten the game and just played counter strike. You can easily have just as much fun with counter strike as planetside if you don't play very often. It's what I will be doing once summer ends, because I will play about an hour a week, and counter strike is only boring and old if you play it too much. I don't play it that much, but some days I can play for about 6 hours straight because I have nothing else to do and in those days i usually get around 400 kills.

Because we work to enjoy the things in life we want to. I love my clan, and I love being able to jump in the coolest game and play with the coolest people. It's one of life's more docile pleasures.

Veno... we don't all have 24 hours of gameplay available and since im loyal to this community I give it an hour or two... (including e-mails chat etc.) Then I play for a while work around the house then play some more...

None really said that they couldnt play at all, most just explained that unlike some people they have to work and do other things besides playing video games. My main goal in PlanetSide (and many other games for that matter), is to have fun, not get the highest level and most kills as fast as possible. They pay 13 dollars a month to play because they enjoy the time they do get to play and enjoy having a fun time with their friends. I see nothing wrong with that.

Surge owns, for all armor types. All of my characters have at least Surge. It is good in reinforced armor, making it wonderfully easy to scalp MAXs when used correctly. For Infils, my opinion is Surge is a must. I can't count the number of times I've spotted someone with DL right as they opened up on me, and Surge saved my ass.

for grunts best implants are: Surge, dl, adv regen, zoom (if sniper) and maybe audio amp :D

Max's: Dl, audio amp, zoom or adv targetting

Infil's: Melee booster, surge, adv regen

Surge is nice, but knowing when to surge is the real trick.

I browse the Forums at work....At home a prego wife and 2 year old keep my ps time to about 3-4 hours a week....I pay cause i like the game, not because i have shitloads of time to play

yeah, I love surging around with my mcg, much fun.

I was discussing the best implants with crono and we came up with surge / adv. targeting / and darklight vision. good for most types of characters too.

Surge has definetly kept me alive on more than one occasion. And since I am also an Engi, taking adv Regen doens't hurt either, takes a crap load of Stamina tho.

i usually dont use darklight at all....mainly i use adv. target so i can pick off the weaklings and regen....but as i said i got med cert so im trashing my regen....i think ill try surge out today and see how gos it. I can usually pick off infils w/o having to use darklight. Most of them try and move to fast and give their position away.

adv target - i still don't get it.

Edit: its not adv target..but i cant recall what its called at the moment

I will go head to head with any 12x sniper with my 8x. 12x just doesn't help much at all with the rifle. It helps other weapons, but for sniping it would have to be atleast 16x for it to really help at all.

I can snipe people at max range with 8x without a problem. Maybe if they increase the max visible distance it might help but for now it is a waste.

Surge is cool tho and I might dump DL and pick it up. Definately keeping my adv regen tho.

Surge/Darklight Vision/Second Wind , for the grunts second wind is good when it works it gave me 25+ heath on several occasions anything that gives me a few more kills or saves me from a sniper is cool :)
