Will a member of a squad be able to jump on top of a grenade and prevent his buddys from takeing any or just minor damage?

I've seen it done in some games, but others dont employ this and just let explosions pass though a person to those behind them(IE: Counter Strike). This would add an aspect of realism and would encorage teamwork and MAX armors.

Also, will bullets be able to go though an enemy with no armor? Say you had 3 light armors that had just been though a battle and were in a line. Then a sniper shoots a Bolt-driver along that line. Would the bullet kill and go on to the next target?

The fuse on a grenade is either upon impact, or 2 seconds later. You'd be able to jump on a grenade so infrequently that it's probably not worth adding in.

Yeah, cover inhibiting explosion damage would be nice. Be that cover the terrain or another person/vehicle.

Before you go jumping on any Grenades remember what Patton said: "No poor dumb bastard ever won a war by dieing for his country. He won by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country."

Jump away.

A tiny fragment of Patton's address to the 3rd Army. Have you ever heard the entire thing? It's quite good.

To tell you the truth I have not. It's the only part of the speech I have really heard, and I wasn't sure where it came from. Got a link? I'd love to read it.

Another really good speach from that era is Winston Churchills "We shall fight on beaches" speech.

I do recall reading that a person half exposed exposed (like partially behind a rock) would take only half damage.

*chuckle*

Man, that Patton quote sounds familiar, but I just can't put my finger on where from... ;)

Anyway, I hope you can take cover from explosions, too. Drives me nuts, those games that allow something to detonate on, say, the other side of a wall, yet still damage or kill you.

But that simply means it won't pass through things like rocks and trees that you hide behind. It dosn't necessarily mean that damage won't pass through players as well.

 I laughed pretty hard at that Patton quote.

Do a search fo Patton's address to the 3rd Army and you'll find it.

And I changed my post back to what it was. I edited it as you replied to it.

No, push your buddy - he *wants* to be a hero, believe me.

Hopefully bullets can go through tress and the like. That would suck if someone ran into one of the "forests" and was protected because the bullets couldn't pierce the foliage and trunks. I am hoping that bullets won't be able to penetrate walls, one more question, can you shoot through glass or is bullet/energy proof?

I think tree's should provide cover and if grenades were realistic in this peopple 20 yards from the explosion would be badly wounded.

Don't like games or dislike on how realistic they are, just if there fun !

This isn't directly on topic, but will bodies in Planetside completely absorb damage or will be amazingly powerful weapons (don't ask me to name any) be able to shoot straight through someone and possible give damage to whatever is behind it?
