Most fun you've had in PS

Hasn't it always been when you forgot about xp, and went off away from the zerg?

The other day, me and opp were squaded up just us two, and we decided to go cap some towers on the continent to help out with the soon to be cont lock. So we go out in my deliverer, and run into some resistance, then we find this fucking NC AV Max. He chased us and we chased him. Eventually, we darted off and repaired, and about 300 yards off, I see him in run mode going perpendicular to my direction, so I gun the deliverer and begin to close on him. As I aim, I'm trying to find the perfect angle to T Bone him, and I'm worried I'll totally miss cause I'm going full speed and so is he...

so we gain - he doesn't seem to be looking

gain some more 200 yards he doesn't notice us

50 man this is going to be close

BAMMO! Nailed his punk ass broadside, he goes down and we proceed to laugh and do victory flips. It was bad ass. I felt like I had made a one in a million shot in basketball or something. It was great fun.

Yeah, the fun of the game generally has nothing to do with XP, it's just the situations that arise, the diversity of the battles.

The most fun I've had is when I have knife fights with outfit members, or have demolition derbys with small ground vehicles with outfit members.

Sometimes it's more fun to play around than it is to 'play'.

You nailed it AcidCat. That's exactly how I feel about PS.

Last night I logged on and most of the action was on Ishunder/Markov. I brought up the map and looked at Amerish. It was all Vanu, but I noticed that one base up north was getting low on NTUs and while I waited for the HART it kept getting lower. I decided to drop in, grab an ANT and go investigate.

I filled the ANT up at Solsar Warpgate and headed toward the base. By the time I got there it was at 10% and I figured someone was draining it. As I pulled into the courtyard I caught a TR running around. I ran his butt over with the ANT and quickly pulled up to the Silo. As I'm guarding the ANT a friendly Vanu Reaver came in and gave me some aircover.

Me and that one Reaver proceeded to kill the small squad of TR that had tried to drain the base. They had tried to be sneaky by not capturing any towers, so when they died they had nowhere to go but the Sanctuary.

The last guy to die was an Infil/Engi who tried to be sneaky and plant mines to catch me. I was suspicious when I suddenly saw mines where none were just a minute before. As I turned around I caught him moving too fast and put him down with the Pulsar. He sent me a Tell saying "Well it was fun while it lasted."

It was a fun little skirmish and we kept Amerish all Purple for most the night. Wouldn't have happened though if I hadn't gone out of my way to investigate.

One of the small bonuses to PS for me is seeing the names people come up with. When I first started, I saw someone named "Slothloveschunk". Fuggin slayed me. I couldn't shoot straight from laughing so damn hard. I agree with Acid, its more than just XP, seeing the nutty names people imagine up is one more reason (Like I need any) to play.

2 full galaxy drops one right after another on about 5 bases and towers before we were stopped.

Some of the best kills I have had have been by Jammer nading the Enemys mines as they are hovering over them in tanks, infantry or air vehicles :)

sneaking into an enemy held tower as a cloaker on a no care cont. Then uncloaking amongst them and dooing the vvw spam. At first they look at me like what to do now. Then they eventually become unfreindly and I get treated like a black man at a kkk rally.

Me, Saint, and Opp were having some fun driving Sunderers off the cliffs on Ceryshen. Fun fun.

I like bringing a large outfit-only convoy to a losing battle and see how fast we get back on the offensive. Nothing like 10-15 vanguards rolling into a base covered in terrans trying to get to the cc and killing them all within 5 minutes.

I was drivin around in my boat doing typical magmower shit when this reaver comes in and trys to ruin everything. My gunner swiftly dismantels this reaver but the pilot ejects and bolts for the water. He pokes his head out a couple times pokin me with some kinda hand held rocket. But we can't get him and the tank has already taken more damage than i care to deal with. So i climb outa the tank jump in the bay. I flip my surge on grab my knife flip on the secondary. As i close the distance he was ready for me with his knife. I turn off the surge and just as we stab each other i flip on my shield implant. Now that i know i got him i try to take my time with him. But to no avail. I turn off the shield and my secondary and back away for a sec as he trys the stick me again. But right then i slash him across the throat and he drops like a stone.

It's the methodic kills in this game that drive me.

There was this one time i was supposed to hotdrop this tower but forgot what my bail button was. My squad bails without me. The pilot swings around for another pass but an enemy reaver swoops in with freindly aircraft in pursuit. But it's enough to freakout my Gal pilot who is now way off coarse. By now my squad has already made an entry into the top of the tower and im like "shit". So i bail... just as i exit the craft i see a red tag below me headed right where im about to land. Now even though theres that annoying sound bug when drawing your weapon while fallling after having bailed from flying craft. I draw my pulsar and start drillin his guy as im falling. He freaks out and draws his weapon and starts whipin around trying to find where its coming from. I land directly in front of him and he's facing me. I was half sorta expecting more of a struggle. But two or three more rounds from the pulsar and it's all over but the scream.
