I think it sounds great, the problem is (well IMO) that you cannot fight other people, only computer characters. I know this stops 'n00b hunts' but I really want to fight with my party against a mates party. The job system sounds very good too.

I applied for beta through fileplanet, i haven't gotten any word yet, i saw the gamespot.com beta going at the same time and they already announced the winners of the gamespot one, but i don't know about fileplanet. have any of you who applied through FP gotten a reply yet? i really hope i get into this beta, i'm no fan of mmorpg's, but i'm looking foreward to this one because i love all the FF games, so i'm hoping they do it in that same style

People seem to think Final Fantasy is meant to say its the last game, but tis not, Final Fantasy was the title for the original because it was a fantasy story and it was the final one for the character of the game or some shit like that, each game has different characters and each have their Final Fantasy adventure, so there...

Yeah but X-2 was meant to be included with X but it would be weird cause people would play it straight away so the story would get confusing.

X-2 wasnt meant to be included with X, it was made as a money making idea to cash in on the success with X

AND it is called Final Fantasy because Square was going out of buisness, and they were putting out one last game, Final Fantasy, as you can see, it was a success.


edit: ALSO FFXI will most likely be shit, Square hates sony because of their online plans, the game was shit in japan with barely 100k players, note that FF normally sells millions easily. Though i will be checking it out ON PC, consider the cost on PS2 when u need internet adapter, 50 dollar game, a HD, monthly fees(no free months) etc etc, AND it cost money per character

hence why square is moving back onto GC, they are going back to roots with Crystal Chronicles. Bout damn time too, sony has been milking Square far too much.

Wrong, Square WAS gonna go all the way back to Nintendo, but sicne the merger it hasn't been like this, Square willc arry on working with Sony but they will also work with Nintendo too...

Also, sicne your so smart, its a money making idea is it, so thats why FF X ends in a cliffhanger while all other FF's end with a conclusion...riiiiiight

FFX-2 is a money making idea, you don't need a Business GCSE (Like me) to realise that. I don't remember a cliffhanger in FFX!

Tidus (and Auron, i think, i can't remember much) dies and the world is rid of Sin and Yu Yevon. I think thats game over! Why oh why does Yuna have twin pistols in X-2?! She's a summoner!

I for one will NOT be buying X-2, even though I have all FFs since 6. X is my least favorite and it's a crime that FF7 wasn't given a sequel instead, or put into a movie (Spirits within sucked!)
