okay, I have a brand new system I built here. Really nice and all, but I still get about an avg of 35-45 fps in planetside (all settings maxed at res 1280x1024)and soemtimes the fps can get very jumpy.
Asus a78nx mobo
1gig corsair 2700 ddr ram
Ati radeon all-in-wonder9700 pro
athlon xp 3000+
I mean, i know planetside is a intensive game, but do these fps humbers sound right for the hardware I have here?
thank you all in advance!

PS can be quite graphics intensive, yes... I haven't used a system with those specs but if you have AA/AF on I'm sure you'd get those sort of fps, or lower.

is there a way I can lower my AA/AF settings in planetside?

Well I'm not sure if they're enabled by default, but go to the advanced vid card options in display settings and make sure AA/AF are off then check PS again.
