I think it's like three and a half hours long. I heard it sucked though.

Someone who saw it told me there actually was an intermission during the movie when it was showing in theatres. :jawdrop:

I saw it in the theater with my dad, 2 hours, 15 minute intermision, then another 2 hours. it seemed like there was so much overacting that every five minutes somebody was quoting somebody else, or crying, or praying, or whatever. It was a waist of time and money. They plan on making 2 more also, Battle at Gettysburg and another one.

I agree. It was like 15 minutes of Battle, then an hour and a halfof over dramatic speeches. I mean it was like they were not even talking to people in the movie. Reminded me more of an over dramatic Play than a movie. This movie was the Prequel to Gettysburg (which was made a long time ago).

When I saw Gods & Generals at the movies, after the movie and before the credits, it said that it was the first of a trilogy. Still to come, "Gettysburg" and another I forget the name to.
Thats strange because Jeff Daniels played the same person in Gods & Generals as he did in Gettysburg. Maybe they are re-making Gettysburg. Bah who knows. Gettysburg was actually pretty decent for a Civil Ware movie.
Last i heard the next LotR movie was gonna be pretty long too. :)
yeah but LotR is worth sitting through (and they have alot to cover in the final one).
LotR >Civil War
