When you get enough grief points to get a weapons lock, do those grief points return to zero after the lock?

You hit weapons lock at 1000 grief points. I think (don't quote me) that you lose roughly 120 or so grief points a day. Spork posted something similar to that in the OF, but I can't recall the exact number. :o

Yea its around that, I had a little over 150 the other night from helping people in spawn tubes. When I came in the next day I was around 50 or so.

Grief goes away fairly quickly. 1000 gp, the amount needed for a weapons lock, would probably reduce to zero in a week's time. That is, if you don't rack up any more than 20 grief a night.

Well 2 days ago I had 952 grief points. My main weapon was the Rocklet gun. I used a cert point and unlearned special assault and got Heavy assault. The splash damage I got from the Rocklet gun racks up after a while. My grief is currently 700+. When it get's below 200 I'll get back special assault. Bottom line, If I get 1000gp I get a weapons lock, and the gp's don't go away or leave at an excelerated rate? How long is the weapons lock by the way?

From my experience weapons lock can last from 5 to 30 minutes. You have to be in game for that counter to count down. If you log out when you come back it will be the same time as when you left.

I got weapons lock at 1000 (With Max Pounder) and had to wait 25 minutes
You lose 6 grief points every real-time hour btw (at least that is what I have been told on multiple occasions)

As an NC jh/deci user, I have around 500 now, had 1000 and something a few days ago from firing decis into max's surrounded by nc. Whenever I see a pounder max surrounded by 10 friendlies, and they're not doing enough damage quickly enough to the max to stay alive, I usually fire away which gives me about 50 grief.
I get around 150-200 grief a day because I usually kill people who piss me off, have no manners, or try to steal experience from a friend/squadmate.
Example: a friend drives an ant across hossin to fuel up kisin, when he gets there, he gets out and without locking it a friendly cloaker immediately gets in it, locks it, and then deploys, taking the experience.
I get incredibly frustrated by accidental grief, I think that the grief for being run over needs to be taken off, the huge amount of grief for knicking a friendly vehicle with a vanguard needs to get taken off, and grief in general (everything) needs to be taken down about 15%.

I've had 900+ grief for a couple of weeks. I don't get weapons lock very often, but it happens. If I see, say, an infil trying to knife a max, I'm not going to hesitate to fire. I very rarely get grief from mistakes of my own; it's almost always people doing profoundly stupid things and me being unforgiving.
The most grief I've ever gotten in a single occasion, though, was just shy of 600 about a week ago.. I was sitting (in MAX) at an AMS (which was being phoenixed and constantly repaired) next to a NTU silo at a hacked base. As I recall, I was looking for a cloaker. A friendly ANT rolls up, through the AMS bubble, and runs 3 people over, including me - the ANT blew up off of my corpse, blowing the AMS, and several people. I took all the grief from it. :p
