Hey.

Im just about to start PS.

I just wana know about general new guy stuff such as:

What servers are the best?
Do I have to download anything? If so where from?

And any other tips and info would be nice, thx.

1.Emerald is best, but if you're NC choose Markov, the Markov NC are really good. In order of servers it's:
Emerald
Werner (Europe)
Markov
Konried
Johari

Johari is least used

2.Downloads are done automatically when you launch, it checks your files and if you're not fully updated, prepare for a long download, like 5 hours. I suggest if it's night over there, get some sleep. Heck, if you have nothing to do but wait for it, get some sleep.

Please specify what other tips you'd like.

as for the server, i would chose the one which is closer to you. ie for me in london, it would be werner (EURO)

u'll probly hav to d/l 50mb worth of shit right off the bat, and u hav to if u want to get past training lvl 2.

the best server is th one that ur closest to.

be tr on markov.

Do you mean the patches? For me it's like 2 minutes. The most recent patch we had took me less then two minutes exctualy. I have DSL.
