mouse problems

hey when i play planetside my mouse is really skippy and slow not smooth at all i tried adjusting it on the keypad but it doesnt help. i have an mx 500 without drivers installed does anyone know how i might be able to fix this because its making me not wanta play this game.

no because the drivers are horriable and will make it worse and there isnt any point in having them since they will fuck up my movements while playing counter strike
