I recently moved and had my DSL service turned off and it'll be turned back on for July 28th.
I'm going to be about 4,000 feet from the Central Office (before I was about 11,000 feet). Originally, I was getting about 768 down and now, since I am inside of 5,000 feet, I was told that I should be getting about 1.5 Mbps down.
Question #1: Is this true? Will me signal be almost doubled because of the distance from the CO?
Question #2: Will I see a significant perfmrmance boost in play?
My other specs are as follows:
P4 2.0G
1 Gig of RDRAM
ATI 9700 PRO
