I'm playing it a lot more often. Why? I have no idea. I play on Houston Vehicles or any Meltdown 2 server. Again, I have no idea why, but ph33r me and my Beowulf tank.

yea, it was even 56k friendly, now i lag like a biatch on that server, so i play on any katabatic only servers, som vehicle servers, and ofcourse any shiftermod servers (ya kno, with the herc and stuff).

The Mitzi in Annihilator mode is cool, and so was the Suicide Flying Jericho, and the Thundersword heavy bomb (none are in anymore except the Annihilator, which is nerfed :ugh: ), but nothing compares to what we have now:

REMOTE MISSILE SILOS! (aka Missile Bombardment Mania)

Simply deploy an RMS, then a MANTA satelitte, and then switch from Field Engineer to Assault armor and get the MANTA Targeting pack.

You have to keep the laser on your target for like 45 seconds, and attention WILL be attracted to you, but once its over, a rain of about 48 missiles comes down and pretty much blows anything in the area to kibble. (it even works on shielded Bombardment Bases!)

You can call in like five strikes, but then you run out of missiles. Then you switch the pack's laser mode to Ion Blast, and it does a less powerful and less cool single satellite laser at the target.

I was in the MD2 clan. The original maker, Dynablade, was cool, but then he 'went insane' according to his brother and I really, really didn't like his brother, which took over. He laughed at Dyna going insane, and I left.

Actually, I lost interest in Tribes 2.

But now I'm back! :D

Meltdown 2 needs to be nerfed. Half the guns require no skill. The Shotgun with exploding shells kills almost everything in 3 hits. It's not fun anymore.

Of course, I still remember the good ol' days with my Nuke Pack.... :evil:

MD2 has gone to hell.

I just played, and no skill is required.

Using the Power Disc mode on the Spinfusor is an instant kill against Scout armor, and does severe damage to everything else.

The mod is only useful for calling in missile strikes- everything else deserves a nerf.

The thing is, every MOD goes to hell eventually. I'm building my house in Construction, and out of nowhere a SCUD missile rains down and destroys it. WTF?!?!

I always ran into things with my super grav cycle in construction. Blow up someone's hard work with one well placed gravcycle torpedo. Brings a tear to my eye. ;)
