Get an Ant, take it to a warpgate, deploy it until it fills, take it back to a base thats got plenty of room in the silo, deploy again, get XP. Up to you how you do it, safest way is to load the ant into a Galaxy.

You dont get XP for people spawning at your AMS, but its a support role and quite vital, your squad will get you XP and probably make up for it if the AMS is used well.

The only vehicle that directly gets you EXP is the ANT.

The ANT is also the only vehicle that ensues petty greed among your empire. You'll be amazed at the things people will do in regards to ANTs. If your ANT ever gets blown up, don't assume it was the enemy.

As far as HOW to do an ANT run, I suggest the following:
1. Identify bases that are running low on power. I usually start doing my ANT runs when the base reaches 40% or lower. 30% I think is optimal, but you run the chance that someone else will beat you to the punch.
2. Identify your nanite source warpgate. Now that you know which bases you are going to support, decide what the closest warpgate is. Don't just judge by distance, also look at terrain and your ability to get their quickly. Some of those mountains are difficult to navigate, like on Esamir.
3. Plan your Path carefully! Don't just go without a plan. You'll fail more often than not.
4. Bring a Friend! The quickest ANT runs are made by Galaxy drop. Unfortunately, Galaxies tend to draw a lot of fire. A Reaver escort is always nice. Also, a landborn Skyguard and/or Prowler escort is nice too. Trust me that being an ANT driver isn't an easy think to do by yourself. Without the help of some comrades, expect to fail about 50% of the time, and the times you don't die, expect another 50% that someone else will beat you to the punch. Increase the odds by getting some help.

Always make sure your vehicles are locked or sqaud.

I didn't know you got EXP for this? How much are we talking about for a full ANT?

Do a couple of solo ANT runs and the XP is pretty good. I think solo, its roughly about 1500 XP?

Yep, ANT runs are a great way for new guys to bring in some good BEP and start leveling if they are playing solo. Plus you help your faction keep all those bases powered. I'm not sure about the exact amount, but it is well over 1000 BEP if you manage to empty a full ANT. Undeploy the ANT near a silo and then hit the "o" button on your keyboard and watch the BEP level go.:)

how many points are requared to level up?

Each level gets progressively harder and harder to attain. I've never kept track of how much BEP is required for each level, but if you play a lot you'll have no problem going up quick. They didn't really make it all that hard to level. The MAX you can go is level 20 at the moment.

My advice is to not worry about leveling. Focus on having fun and improving your tactics. Learn the strengths and weaknesses of all the weapons and vehicles and use them appropriately. Do that and you'll have a lot more fun.

BEP is easy to get. Skill isn't. Focus on the later.

i'm just not used to not being able to jump into any viechile.

also, i'm getting pissed off, with getting killed by people simply cos they have a better gun.

I'm a Vanu player and I firmly believe there is no such thing as a better gun in this game.

Each weapon has a range that it is best at. Don't go running up on a Jackhammer user if you're only carrying a Suppresor or Pulsar. Stay at medium range and keep your distance. Jachammers don't do jack beyond 10 feet. Indoors, grab grenades or a Sweeper.

These are just examples, but you should get the idea. Use weapons were they are most effective and don't go up against someone on their terms unless you have the same or equal.

Above all, don't be a sheep and mindlessly zerg like most of the players online. Put some thought into your actions and you'll go much further.
