some of my favorites are Yu Yu Hakusho, Cowboe Bebop, Decendants of Darkness, and Tokyo Babylon. Some favorite anime movies include Birdy the Mighty, Battle Angel Alita and X.

I love all anime (except DBZ) but my all time favorites are Teknoman and Escaflowne. Not that anyone's heard of either of these. :(

See this i don't get. Why do some many hate Dragon Ball? I saw a few episodes of Escaflowne and i personally don't see why it's so "popular", i'd much rather watch DB (any of the 3) then Escaflowne. That being said i do see the point of the whole "DBZ sucks cuz they stand around and scream then blow up planets" thing and i do wish the anime was more like the manga (books) with less shouting and just the fights/story. But i still think the anime is pretty good.

As for me i voted other simply because i love many animes. Haven't seen all that much but those i have i've loved them all except Ninja scroll(just plain boring with gratuitous sex crap) and Akira(not too bad but a bit long). Those i've loved include my collection obviously, Ghost in the shell, Neon Genesis Evangelion and others that i've yet to purchase like Blood (way too short though :() Macross, Patlabor, Cowboy Bebop (just recently seen) Hellsing and i think that's it.

Well, I never said I HATED DBZ, I just don't like it all that much. Like you said theres a lot of yelling and screaming at each other before they shoot energy at each other and blow up.

Granted, I usually enjoy that.:) But DBZ just doesn't make me go "oooh" like my favorites have.

I dont really watch alot of anime (although thats changing :p ) but Macross Zero has some great visuals. Cant really say if its 'good' anime or not, but i know once i saw the first episode i was looking for the others instantly. :D

Well, about the ones that you have yet to see, here is a short blip on each of them....

You must go see Lain and Steel angel Kurumi, they are both very good.

You prob know what Lain is like (if you dont, just ask anyone :p )

Steel Agnel Kurumi is very similar to Chobits, though not quite as deep and it lacks the dark overshadowing effect, but sorta similar ( now Chii is Kurumi and goes fighting stuff vs learning stuff ;) )

Berserk is another serious one, set in the medevil ages, very weard ending (very good though... ending could be better)

Child's Toy is another goofy silly one, completely w/o purpose or reason.... like.... ya.... goofyness :p *see if you can find the intro, yes the series is just like it ;) *

Crest of the Stars *and the next season* Baran of the Stars: This is a very very good story, if a bit slow... they do spend 90% of the time in just talking and not doing anything, but it is still a rather nice storyline with deep chars.

I will become an Angel is the same type of anime as Chobits, though a bit different... and a bit wearder.... take the Chobits jokes... cross it with the oddness of Eva, and remove all sanity, repeat removial of all sanity/reality several times, do it a few more times... and a few more to be sure you got all sanity/reality out, and there ya go.

This reminds me how good is Love Hina and Bubblegum Crisis?

I saw the DvD of BC2040 and thought it looked cool but never heard of it much, Love Hina on the other hand i've heard about but have no clue what it's about.
