Well I don't know about you, but before I go to sleep I like to make sure I keep myself humble... I go out back and take a few shovel fulls of dirt out of the grave I am digging for myself, re-read my last will and make any changes I need to it, then go read about how the world will end... You too can enjoy at least the last part by going here:

Enjoy, I am off to work on digging my own grave!

I suddenly feel the need to do outragous things that I would only do if I knew I was going to die. Thnigs that would cause me to go to jail, but if the world is going to end. Who cares?

I like the "far future" ones the best myself... The quantum mining one is funny too..
"whenever you see an unexplained burst of energy coming from the cosmos (and there are a lot of them), it may be some alien civilization, blowing itself to kingdom come while experimenting with the quantum vacuum..."
lol...

Most of them have significant scientific proof behind them. I doubt you actually believe that we are impervious to the hundreds of threats out there... Its just a matter of when, and I am willing to bet my life (litterly) that it won't be in the next 50-60 years that I am alive...

oh no, actually a black hole is headed our way (cant remember if it was in how long but its a while) and theres a 1:300 chance it could destroy the earth.
sure i know this, but the author says we wont see the black hole until it starts playing with pluto. a. the black hole will take maybe a few hours to get here if not less once it reaches pluto, and b. scientist can see black holes a LONG ways away as a huge swirling vortex with has things circling it.
scientist have already proven that no large meteor will hit earth in out lifetime.
its just dumb to worry and even think about the end of humanity or SARS. sure we will try to prevent it, but you cant prevent a blackhole.
clearly the author is joking the whole way (or else needs some help)

What grade are you in? If you haven't reached College yet, than you don't know much about the solar system. Things can happen that we haven't discovered yet. Some kind of, massive force that could wipe us all out. We don't KNOW the world isn't going to end. We used to KNOW the world was the center of the universe, we used to KNOW the world was flat.

i am not acting ignorant. But just read the passages written by that guy. he is obviously not a scientist, and on the one where humans could just stop reproducing he acts like hes writting a story.

I never got the chance to read those, as for the ones about meteors, ice ages, etc. Those are believable. Read the one about nuclear war, that could happen any day.
