I'd love to see the whole Venom vs Carnage vs Spiderman saga. You'd get your requisite Black Cat appearance there too.
Carnage would be effing awesome.

you KNOW they couldn't possibly tackle carnage until at LEAST the 3rd movie, though.

That's... just the pimpest thing I've seen... who's playing him?
And who's carnage? Something tells me he's Venom's brother, but I don't recall him.

venom's brother?
that doesn't sound right at all.
i never got into spiderman too much (always a batman guy myself), but wasn't carnage some weird murderer guy that found a symbiote like venoms?

He's kind of like a brother, but not really in the paternal sense.
When Eddie Brock was in lockup and Spidey thought that the alien Symbiote was gone, there was a small bit of the symbiote left inside of Eddie. He then spawned into Venom and broke out of prison. The symbiote left a little of itself behind for Brocks cellmate (forgot his name). This criminal was a psychopathic killer. The alien symbiote attached itself to this criminal and Carnage was born.
In more detail :
History: Homicidal maniac Cletus Kasady was serving 11 consecutive prison terms when an opportunity for early parole presented itself in the form of his new cellmate: Eddie Brock, human host to a symbiotic costume once worn by the wisecracking, wall-crawling super hero known as Spider-Man. Monster and man had merged to become the villainous Venom, but Brock was separated from the alien during a battle with the web-slinger. While Brock waited for the symbiote to spring him from prison, Kasady entertained him with his homicidal philosophy on life: Even the average person can commit murder, if only he has the courage.
As anticipated, the Venom symbiote attempted to free Brock by inciting a destructive jailbreak. Unknown to its human host, the alien was pregnant. It gave birth during the disastrous rescue. Left behind in the midst of the riot that ensued, the symbiote's spawn bonded with Kasady. Empowered far beyond the levels of Spider-Man and Venom, he made good his escape -- intent on using his newfound power to disseminate his lethal doctrine.

Carnage would be...tough to tackle in a movie rated anything other than R....very very R. Carnage is very aptly named. He's like Woodey Harrelson (sp?) from Natural Born Killers, but with super powers. Imagine the most horrific things you can, like say carving an unborn infant out of it's mother and then feeding it to her, and that's what Carnage does for fun. I think it would be kind of hard to convey the absoute sickness of Carnage and still keep the movie PG-13 which I'm sure they're going to want to do. Not only that but they'd have to go through the whole Venom thing to get to Carnage which is at least two movies all by itself.
Personally I always wished they had gone with Venom for the first film rather than Hobgoblin. Always loved Venom since he's such an even match up for Spidey. Carnage though.../shudder.
They had Carnage in the toons, they could easily get him in movies too. I do wish more movies (including Spidey) would go for a tad higher rating sometimes though.

i read a thing about like a showing or preview of him in action...
what i remember like doctors were about to remove his tentacles and octavius was "asleep" on a table, but when the doc's hit the tentacles they went berserk and owned everyone in the room. Then octavius like got up and walked away or somethin.

Apparently, the short 2 minute clip was shown at "Comic-Con"
Alfred Molina playing Dr. Otto Ocavius
Doc Ock is laid out, face down, on a table, his eyes covered in white gauze. His 4 tentacles are wrapped in white sheets and hanging by ties to the ceiling around the room... Think the Alien Queen from ALIENS. There's tension as the main surgeon takes a buzz saw and turns it on. One of the tentacles twitches. The surgeon stops the saw, looks at the tentacle... nothing. He turns it back on again and gets very close to the metal skin of the first tentacle. BAM! The tentacles break free and beat the holy hell out of all the doctors and nurses.
This scene is classic Raimi... Following flying tentacles through the air, quick zooms into the open, screaming mouths of the nurses... The whole time Molina is laying on the surgical table completely motionless. One of the doctors gets trapped by a tentacle... looks around and sees a little sterile-silver chainsaw on the table next to him... tries to inch towards it. Then it cuts to Tentacle-cam. All 4 of the tentacles have the ability to take video it seems... it actually looked really sweet.
The tentacle thwarts the doctor's attempt to grab the chainsaw... cut away to many doctors and nurses getting smacked in the chest, face, legs by the other tentacles... the chainsaw doctor gets knocked down... all of a sudden the sound of a chainsaw roars to life and you see a gloved hand hold it high in the air triumphantly only to get totaled by the tentacle.
Everyone is down... Molina begins to wake up. He raises his head and a tentacle gently takes off the surgical gauze blindfold for him. This move was incredible. It was either some of the best CG I've ever seen or it was animatronic. If it was animatronic work, then count me doubly impressed. It was smooth and casual as if it really was just another hand at Doc Ock's disposal.
Doc Ock apparently isn't too happy with the situation. He gets up on his knees and in a wide shot we see him lamenting the situation, crying out "No!" as his tentacles flail and flex.
note the apparent cameras on each tentacle..
to make a long story short, im uber hyped for Spidey2.
