I think there are some awesome programs out there i use everyday. Let me list some of my fav's

Adobe PhotoShop 7.0 (Worlds best program!)
Windast PVR (the thing that allows me to plug my TV cable into my comp)
Kazaa Lite (Kazaa with no spyware)
Adobe GoLive (Easy FTP system, awsome for making sites)
