How much ammo do you carry? Looking for a change of pace, I swapped Special Assult for AV. I'm really enjoying the Lancer, but the massive size of the ammo boxes is strangling my inventory. With 3 ACEs and two reloads of Nanites for my repair kits, I've only got room for three boxes of ammo.

I was planning on picking up AV but when I was testing in the VR, I decided I wouldn't cause it does use up TONS of space... each box is huge and only has 6 shots.

Elias, do you actually ever use more than 100 of your nanite reloads? The nanite comes with 100 by itself. I used to carry them, too, before I realized they were a waste of space. I never use more than 80, unless I happen to stay alive for a really long time. :P

Right, and its pretty easy to scavenge a fresh or partly used Bank or MedAp should you runout. You can get 4 boxes of lancer ammo if you know you are gonna use em. But i go with 3 most of the time. So i can carry a REK, a CUD, and 3rd medkit. If you use MA/AV and doing a demo then you can big and get 5 lancer, 1 energy, and 1 medkit.

I have one loadout that I made for sitting atop towers and it has reinforced with dual lancers and all lancer ammo. Another load is my lasher/lancer with one row of each ammo. Lasher could easily be replaced with the pulsar.

I also have the dual loadout. It's called my "Vehicle Whupass" selection. For when we're swarmed with tanks, or I find an AMS.

6 rounds to a box? Lucky bastards. 3 Strikers to the same size box, I have one loadout that allows me 15 Striker shots and I regularly run out of Strikers in that loadout.

I realized something interesting. The noise emitted by the Lancer when fired is not just any noise. It's speech! Listen carefully to a Lancer being used. "Whupassss! ... Whupassss! ... Whupassss!"

Inventory space is the primary reason in my view, AV sucks. I dont like running around trying to find vehicles to shoot at. Much more usefull to me is to go about my killing and capturing bases and if a vehicle or MAX gets in my way, they catch a Decimator in thier ass

Oh, and Madcow, the reason the Lancer has 6 rounds per box, is because unlike the Striker that hits almost 100% of the time, you will miss most of your shots. The only thing you can hit well are MAXs or vehicles that are stupid enough to run through the middle of a firefight. If the Lancer was 3 rounds per box, it would be completely usless

Lancer definately isn't easy to hit with. Thats what makes it rewarding. CQLancer shots on maxs are pretty rewarding too. You gotta wait around for the thing to fire. So you just gotta stick and move. The loadout break is right around 3 to 4 boxes. 3 seems not enough at times. If you gotta blow alota stuff up 4 is your minimum. While still being able to be effective in other areas with either MA or HA.

Noticed two new things involving the Lancer today.
1. Vehicles panic when you unload on them. I can't help but giggle when a Vanguard hauls ass to escape the beating.
2. Lancer teams kill big shit, fast.
