okay, a question, if I am using one of the Anti-Vehicular
weapons ( I�ve never used one) I could lock on MAX�s ,Aircraft, and vehicles, now why is it the NC�s MAX (Sparrow config) can only lock on aircraft.
And for the NC can answer this
can the Falcon lock on Aircraft as well?

The Falcon cannot lock onto aircraft.
The Sparrow cannot lock onto vehicles/MAXes because, quite frankly, it is ridiculous enough as is.

I don't follow on the Sparrow being ridiculous part, is it because it tears up reavers and eats misquitos? or is something else

The sparrow only locks onto aircraft because it's an AA max, the Falcon is AV.

Only TR AV weapons lock on (to everything). NC and VS are human-guided, although the NC Pheonix is a T.O.W.-type missile so it can be steered after it. All three empires have a way of locking on to aircraft (since they are hard to hit w/o lock-on.) NC has Sparrow MAX, VS has Starfire MAX, and the TR have their Striker.
If you're wondering why it defies common sense, this is a game, and games are supposed to be fair. you're not supposed to have a do-it-all weapon, or have different weapons do the same thing. Games need variety, and this is a way of forcing variety.

I personally have the Sparrow MAX and yes, it is ridiculous. ...and it is especially ridiculous that it is only 2 certs. The Sparrow is the best all around MAX in the game
Aircraft - A+++
Vehicles - B
MAXs - B
Infantry C
No other MAX comes close to this type of all around effectivness and especially not at 2 certs. In its currrent state it should be 4 certs min

Ok, then lets make the Quasar (best all-around AI MAX, unlike the punder it's death at all ranges, and can kick the crap out of otherAI Maxes), or the DC (which is good on all types, not just vehicles) cost 4 as well.
and you say no other max comes close to this all-around effectiveness...*cough*DC*cough*
I have a two-max TR character FYI (Armory, Markov), and I'm in love with the DC. It's the best (except for tubes or towers, then I go with my pounder) I had the sparrow for a while, but sold it since it has a slow projectile speed, although it seems to speed up when locked, and actually does very little damage to infantry. It takes 6 shots (which is damn near-impossible unless you're skilled). to down a reinf. and if you died in less, it was probably the falcon.

I have no trouble whatsoever killing Reinfoced heavy assault with my Sparrow MAX. I always win if it is 1 on 1 always. Then I go grab a repair and am right back out there.
The dual cycler cant touch aircraft if fact I give it an F for anti-air. The real poit of my post is that the Sparrow is so wicked effective at totally removing any air campaign that it isnt even funny. It also kills everything else well and all for 2 certs? Yeah, its ridiculous and I can at least admit it

I used to think the same about the dual cycler, then I saw a teammate on a hill tack out 2 reavers and 1 mossy that were coming after him. I'm going to have to try some more time with it.

um, yeah? last time i checked, all but turrets are vehicles. funny how the antivehicle cert'll do that for ya. have you tried using the striker vs. infantry? i'm not saying the striker is bad, i'm just saying the lancer IS good against both vehicles and infantry, while the striker is not.

The lancer is like ... a very fast sniper rifle..... it has very good accuracy... and it has a 4x zoom to boot.... if you had the range magnifier... thered be no difference... except that you would kill someone much faster..... and it takes 3 shots to kill a fully armored person...... >.>

Falcon MAX is my favorite MAX suit, and for good reason. It has direct fire, reasonably accurate, long ranged rockets that do damned good damage. I've seldom lost to another MAX suit in a courtyard, or in the outdoors with the Falcon, and I find that I can effectively combat infantry, and of course vehicles are good targets for me also. Indoors, I'll say the Pounder rules all, but who doesn't know that?

have you tried hitting a plane with the lancer? i'd gladly exchange the damage vs infantry for a smaller CoF bloom, or to get rid of that damn charge up second.

If you're implying the Quasar is overpowered, you haven't used it.
