It seemed fair enough. Anyway, I did an interesting search of DancinTedDanson, and not only has he not played in weeks, he's also not broken BR1, and he's not actually in an outfit. Kinda makes you wonder if he's ever followed up on that "urge to play" when he gets home :D. I wonder if DancinTedDanson works for the NYTimes?
Just thought it was kinda funny.

My search on Konried said he's BR 3... all the rest is about the same, though.

Probably realized the reason he never got squaded was his retarded name, seeing as how I've gotten them in the ten seconds it took for our SL to disengage and type (don't ask me why.)

Yep, that would be me, L'il 'ol Darren at CGW, the knucklehead that reviewed PS, PS:CC, and likely anything else to do with this game since I play it so much.
I'm that Dork who some of you may have toasted or run over repeatedly since PS launched (and if you're on the same team as me--dammmmmn Youuuuuu). Anyhow, I wanted to let you know that you got the right idea that I haven't used that account in a while. In fact, that guy (DTD) is a dummy I set up so that you'd all be distracted. My real guy is Vanu on Emerald (though sometimes I wished that I continued with another faction -- love taking those mini-guns off corpses).
Do I still play? yup. Here it is almost six months since I wrote the review and I still try to log on at least once a day if only to see what my outfit is up to. Do I wish that SOE would make some more changes to the game? Hell yeah! How about you guys?
Oh...and since you wondered: I never worked for the New York Times. Too many big words

I haven't read a CGW in a while. My most recent one is you guys doing a preview of Neverwinter Nights... Does Green still have his article at the end?

Sweet, CGW is my favorite gaming mag!
How do I feel about PS? (I can respond since it's my thread)-
It's a great big let down in my opinion. What could have been the greatest online game of all time was botched because of a develeopment team with no real sense of direction. They constantly and continually continued to implement ideas from the Official forums that weren't that well thought out and were more to the detriment of the game than it's prosperity. For the most part, it seemed that they had a great concept, but it's implementation was lacking, and never had a chance to gel in time for release. The game the released was a slightly buggy, but uninspired version of what was seen and for a short while realized in beta.
Planetside was a grave dissapointment for me, as it was so close to being the perfect game. Now due to good old SOE handling, the games in the fast track to the bargain bins (actually, you have to *pay* for those don't you?). Additions like Core Combat only included things that should have been implemented for free in the complete game, and at a much earlier time. They really missed their window of oppurtunity. As much as I'd like to see Planetside take off and succeed, I'm afraid it's most likely too little, too late.
I'm definately keeping an eye out for Planetside 2 though.

Coincidently, I just read your review of CC on page 76 yesterday.

If you look you will notice that the original post is pretty old.

Indeed. I wonder how he found a 5 month old thread.

Thanks for the kind words 'bout the mag. [howmuchdoioweyou?]
Why did I respond to an age old thread, you ask? Blame the randomness of google. I was doing research for a story and came across this posting. And since someone called my bluff (with DTD) I figured I should own up to it.
I won't clog up the boards with random stuff now (ah, the joy of article deadlines) but I just wanted to drop a line to ya'll and say "hey."
As for wondering what's up with Jeff, he is still at CGW, but he isn't writing the back column. the guy needs a break! Robert Coffey is doing that now and I HIGHLY recommend you check the depraved stuff he's written about. Hell, he spent one month posing as an exotic dancer in SW Galaxies. Anyhow, guys, if ya ever wanna chat about what sucks in PS feel free to drop me a line.
