Heads up...

Alot of people frequent at these boards because either
1. they dont like the Official boards
2. The dont have access to the official boards
3. They prefer the community here
4. They like lots of boards.

Now the first 2 kinds of ppl listed here make up a big chunk of PSu.. might I suggest you re-post your suggestions in here as opposed to forcing people to go to the official forums to view it, that is if you wanted thier oppinions, which Is the only reason I can see of you posting in here.


Yep I am category 2. darn work blocked all access to sony... go figure! (no i dont work for microsoft! :P )

I've been working the past couple hours finding the right information to convey to the developers, and the players. Fact is, as much as I come here and complain, I love this game and truly want to see it grow and prosper for many moons to come.
My first idea spawns from an Anti-AirCraft missle battery system that spawns when the continent X captures so many friendly bases have been captured within the lattice. You see the beauty is that it's flexible, it can grow with us, instead of against us. This is my outfits website, and I've uploaded some images here to explain what I propose in better detail.

Cyssor is always the best place to use as an example.

I propose this, when a certain amount of bases are captured continetal changes start happening. You see, it doesn't always have to tie into the base, why not have objects spawned in the world to do a certain job? Here's where the Missle battery system comes into play.

(Don't mind the pictures, I had to find one on the internet, it's an old Russian SAM Anti Aircraft Battery) Now let me explain, the system works like this, when half of the bases on the continent have been captured, Missle batteries appear in the world at strategic locations. As you can see from the picture above, I have place the batteries on hills preferably. They are specific in nature, shoot down enemy aircraft. 4 Missles per battery, and it can be manned. The normal battery shoots slower, but when manned, they shoot faster.

I propose 2 missle batteries per base. *CAPTURED* bases. So for example, Cyssor has 17 bases, let's say for arguements sake you needed 8 bases for Silos to appear in the world. Chuku, Aja, Bomzai, Nzame, Honsi, Gunuku, Faro and Ekera are all connectedare the 8 bases.

So it's very possible for Cyssor for 2 empires to have missle battery capability. Now the best part here is this, this could tie right into the defense structure when an undefended base is attacked. Because you know DAMN well that if you get an alert, you are heading back to X base to defend it. You want those damn missle batteries!

Aside from the fast that they're pretty cool to look at, what if they had a function? It's tantalizing, I know, here are my ideas.

The image in the middle servers as a base warning system. Not so much when it's hacked, but, actually what's DAMAGED in the building. Red should appear as what's damaged, yellow for something that is pretty damaged, orange for a lightly damaged object. The bottom line here is NTU's are used WAY too fast, and most of the time the player really doesn't know what is really damaged. Imagine if we had an in house system, that screen right up there that tells us when?

Aside from the normal Radar every player has built into their suit. What if there could be a mega radar? Right there, to the right. Bingo, say it covers over the span of 2 different bases? Heaven if you ask me, but, it's gotta be tied into something right? You betcha, see that radar on top of the base?

That's what's going to tie into it. Now these things need to come as a reward, I propose that if you capture any 5 bases on any continent, the radar enhancements should kick in. They have to be LINKED obviously, and all latticed. As for what's damaged in the bases, that should be a part of every single base out there. An efficient way for engineers to know what to repair.

I propose generators to be tied into these monitoring stations here.

There should be a way to alter the NTU comsumption. For instance, as of right now as far as I can tell the NTU's will fix the fastest things to fix first and not the most important. For instance, if I go breaking up matrixing panels and equipment terms, they fix relatively faster than a generator. Hence your NTU level goes down quicker as you can continue to destroy those objects.

What if there were a way to redirect it manually using these control panels? Say, redirect it all to the gens so they fix faster? Or spawn tubes?

Just a thought, problem is, I think it's probably a bit too easy to grief. People will come in and dick around with them, maybe we can have a system where only Commanders can use it? Hard to say, but I still think it's a good idea.

That's that for now, I have some other thoughts, let me know what you all think of them.

Great ideas man, I love how people will actually post constructive ideas and not just flame all the time. I agree with you though, i'm sure alot of people would use these as a way to hurt their own empire in battle. I think the commander idea is a good one, but we all know there are commanders out there who are worse then most of the players:no:
