Hello, i need to record gameplay for a project im working on in school. i was wondering if anyone knows how to record gameplay on planetside...or using a free desktop program and where i can grab 1.
any and all help is appreciated thx

Maybe the guy from Malivision (sp) can help you. He creates some awesome movies. He posts here sometimes or at least people have posted his work here. Who knows. Just thought I would point you in that direction. It's a place to start, if you haven't already looked at his site.

I think I once downloaded a program that could monitor your FPS and supposedly capture video, I think it was called FRAPS. You could look into that.

Alright il, look into that thanx man. The project isnt due for a quite a while but i need to show sum work by next week.

How do you make game movies?
The process is rather simple really. All you need is a graphics card with a video out, a VCR to record the footage, a video capture card to get the footage back into the computer and some editing software to make it look pretty.
What kind editing software do you use?
Currently I use Adobe Premiere to do my editing.
Did you go to school for film making?
Nope... everything I've learned has been self taught; either from online tutorials, books or just playing around with things until I figured them out.

Fraps works but it'll kill your frames... as if you need more of a hit on your frames. :rolleyes:
