Nice video... I particularly liked the Reavers strafing the tower, as well as all those Gals dropping troops on the base. That, and all the aircraft in formation is something I'd love to see more of in this game.

I think I've had the pleasure of playing against some of your guys in AA over the past year.

Next time you make a video, consider doing something like having one guy standing on a hill, then waving a hand and the rest of your outfit starts rushing over and running for the base. Heh, it'd rip off Braveheart... but it'd be intresting.

No Arakiel, back when the AGO was in business I always heard complaints from the Emerald Terran about the ability of that Outfit. The only thing I did notice about the video though is in a lot of the first portion there were a lot of NC in different Outfits or none at all.

Some of the voices had to be recorded separately, and so will sound a little canned...we're not actors, after all. :D As to what we can say over TeamSpeak, we're governed by a charter, which makes day-to-day communications nice.

Actually, most of the audio was ripped straight from our no kidding ops, so that's why there's not much artistic flair. It's a pretty accurate representation of what our comms sound like.

You're right Vis, some of the audio was scripted, and so is a little stilted, but the action shots from the galaxy drop all the way to the end are actual in game recordings.

That's the beauty of our TeamSpeak server. We had a countdown from three. The commander saluted at two, and everyone else saluted at "go".

You SG guys are getting rather annoying on Emerald. I seem to run into you guys alot. And I remember killing you, WingedNazgul, you were hacking a tower, and I stopped you with a repeater.

I was playing on konried last night with my VS character, well we had pushed the NC all the way back to Zotz, then GWB went on global chat and told us that the ELH was coming. Every single VS at the zotz battle left immediatly and went to go fight at ixtab and ghanon, it was hopeless, one outfit killed an entire VS zerg. No skill, just huge numbers.

I'm not too familiar with ELH, but are they in the thousand member range? I'm not going to disparage any group, but I can say that ELH probably has SG outnumbered by around seven hundred people. Azure Twilight hovers around twelve hundred, which is way more members than I ever forsee SG having (still, I don't know how they run things so I won't make any opinion statements).

I was envious with the organization and comms you guys carried out. Man I am a TR soldier, and I can only hope that our forces learn from this and understand why we get our arses kicked off continents when you launch assualts like this. I have been in similar ops against you guys, but I don't think we were as organized as you. We have room for improvement. Hopefully well will adapt and overcome. Loyalty until death!

As CO of Sturmgrenadier, I try not to respond to any one person's comments; however, bringing up our membership fee is an excellent point to address.

We do have a $12/year membership fee. Those assets go to supporting our resources (Team Speak server, other portal (games) servers, prizes/rewards to our players) and anyone who's ever been on a crystal clear TS server of over 100 players would tell you its worth its weight in gold. We keep our accounting open to our members and every single dollar goes back to the membership.

We also don't want cost to be a deterent, so we give each recruit 45 days to figure out if SG is a good fit. We have rarely lost any member after that due to fee's.

To everyone else, thank you for the warm comments. We really only want to accomplish 2 things, make the game fun for our members and promote mature and fair gaming to all.

We hope to continue to be a thorn in TR and Vanu's side, and we look forward to working with other like-minded NC outfits.

I must say, nice job. I've never ran into an outfit with such organization before. Really, that was my dream for PS - to be able to do shit like that. Alas, too bad the regular tactic is the zerg, and not much else. Zerg or be Zerged - even with superior tactics, eventually you will be over run.

Guess I'll be see'ing ya'll on the battle field :D

Understandable, but again, thats $12 for a year. Plus, you can sign up and play for 45 days, at which point if you still don't think its worth it, you can leave without paying a penny.

It sounds much worse then it is. As I've mentioned, we rarely lose a member b/c of our fee's.

Its just one way to make sure SG is around for many years, in many games.

PS is $12.95 per month. Joining SG means it's $13.95 per month. One dollar. And, as we all know from watching TV, you can get a lot for a buck these days. All calls are $0.99 for the first 20 minutes! That's access to SG for the same price as a 20 minute long distance call. :)

It's not that, it's the fact I would have to pay via credit card which is a problem, because, A, I don't have one, and B, because I really don't like the fact that I would pay money to speak under com protocol on those voice servers. Do not misunderstand me, I think the orginization is great, but I couldn't justify that for "break", "contact" and "emergency break". I'd want chats and team interaction too.

Then again, if I could get a Tee-Shirt, it'd be on :p

SG has a lot of members. They also have a lot of structure. They play PS and are made up of people who like to play PS. They aren't any different than any other outfit except everyone I usually see on PSU is bad mouthing them. Nice movie. Im not surprised it was easy (compared to other outfits) to organize it, etc. since your actually paying to be in the outfit. Deffinitly wont have many lone wolves.

Since they are making money with their organization, they are breaking IP and copyright laws with their video. Unless of course they have written authorization from SOE and each music artists.

Actually, SG doesn't really 'make' money. It's not a business. The fees are simply to pay for the TS server and other stuff. No one is making a living off SG.

Let me point something out since none of you people seem to understand IP law and copyright.


Whether you charge can affect the damages awarded in court, but that's main difference under the law. It's still a violation if you give it away -- and there can still be serious damages if you hurt the commercial value of the property.


I highly recommend that before anyone start slinging their schlong around about the SG video (or any video), they go out there and do some real research on the subject. SG is giving the video away. Miir gives his videos away. They are BOTH doing the same thing and are both just as likely to get "busted". So get the FUCK over it and suck it up when/if you get served a cease and desist from some band whose music you stole or from SOE for using their game in your video.

Chances are, neither will happen since no one out there probably gives a damn about the PS community making movies. SOE certainly won't as long as they are pro-PS and helping to keep people interested.

dude, yeah i aggre with your edit, im not against anything or anyone, infact i liked the video awsome orginized shots, and aside from the over the top terminator music, it was a great flick.

Im just saying there is more of a possibility that something might happen to SG then to other movie makers. They might not get in trouble at all, cool deal, more people for me to shoot at.

I have nothing against SG, im just trying to make them aware of slight danger involed with the things they are doing.


I personally wouldnt ever join a huge ass outfit/guild tho. Its just not for me. I would rather be know by name, then "Platoon 3 squad 1 leader alpha bravo ect" Its just makes it feel to much like an order, you have no say in stuff.

If you want to join by all means go ahead SG is very organized and powerfull from what ive seen. I have NOTHING against SG or ANY other outfit.
