Yah but thats over 1475 mbs thats alot for 56k you see so it aint happening......thx for the suggestion though ne body else have some helpful advice?
I can't personally tell you how well PS performs on a 56k, but I can tell you that the game is coded to favor slower connections.

You can try Jumpgate
www.jossh.com
It has dated graphics its sortof a Space RPG but with no point and click fighting. You need to have aiming skills to actually hit stuff in that game (and a targeting computer with lead indicators). It can even run on a P200 any modern low end system. The game is only about 100 or so megs.
Its more than 56k friendly.
The download is free but to get a 10 day free try you have to enter your credit card number (I canceled my account after 2 years of playing that game for planetside) its only $10 dollars a month.

Planetside on 56k = Santa on crack
Not good :(
Edit: If you don't play on Emerald and use low video settings(Which is ok) you just might make it.

One guy in my outfit lives in alaska, plays on emerald, AND has 56k....lol. Last night we were both gettting ants, and whiel waiting for them to fill up i started to headbang, and he tried and it was like what i was doing, just 10x slower. In big battles he gets pings in the 3k - 5k range. So he stays behind on our excursions to amerish or solsar.

So what server s the best i dont care much for graphics But whats wrong with Emerald and my last question will piloting a vehicle cause more lag ooooohhh one last itty bitty thing i havea business connection which is like 56k with a shot of cocaine
I actually do fairly well in the smaller fights on Konried with a 56K and medium video settings on a 56K (and a GeForce 3 Ti500.) Just avoid the really massive zergfests until you get broadband of some form.
In really massive fights, I sometimes get framerate drop when I'm in a vehicle turret.
And Emerald is just the most popular server. You'll get better results if you head to someplace like Konried where there aren't as many people.

the servers that would be best for you is wait till you get high speed and a gig of ram then play the game

Sheesh, why are you people being so hard on the guy for having a 56k? I honestly had a flashback to the OF reading this. :( And it's not like we need you pushing people AWAY from the game. As it is we barely have enough people to keep the game alive.

if they actualy fixed bugs in the game instead of keepin them around and just patchin them here and there gee the game wouldnt die hehe

PS will lag if you have crappy RAM. I have PC133 SD-RAM and PS lags unbelievably in the heat of huge battles.
