Ok another idea, I've seen a lot of posts that say "whats the use of playing past BR20" well of course my argument has been "you don't have ranks in counterstrike and you still play that, or UT or anything like that".
But what if they were to add special weapons, or vehicles only accessible for people above BR 20? Maybe have Cert points that are special and can't be used for anthing but these vehicles/weapons. What do you think?

how bout allowing us to gain an unlimited amount of br's based on the scale of the experience system.
no certs are awarded after you reach br20. nothing happens. you just gain levels.
maybe, cosmetic changes once u get br25, 30, 40?

i dont think that erasing certs after br 20 is a good idea. it would get sort of pointless. what they should do is make some things in the game that are real hard to get and take up a lot of certs(ex. 7-8 certs for rapid fire sniper gun). put goals that would get harder as you go. stuff like that.

If they do make it possible to go after BR20 (which I think is probably in the works as we type, considering with all the new stuff they're putting in, you can't get remotely near everything) they need to increase XP gain. I'm currently BR15 and a 5k cap doesnt even fill up a bar/bubble. I'm sure at BR20 its more of the same. Maybe if they mad max cap xp like 10,000 or 20,000 or doubled the XP table so that for a 150 xp kill you got 300 xp or something.

Then everybody would get BR 20 too soon. They don't want eveybody being BR 20 in two months, and they don't want everybody having every cert, that's why they stopped at 20.

They have said over and over again that they want to get away from the model of players that have been playing a long time having advantages other then being versatile. What that means is two guys running at each other in agile armor, with sweeper shotguns should have equal chances, after the fight the higher br guy is probly going to be able to heal/repair himself if he survives, but the fight itself is decided by skill and skill alone

Even with my increased xp idea, I doubt people will reach beyond BR20 too quickly. If anything, scrap teh x2 xp table and just increase the max cap xp to maybe 7,500 (considering 10k is hard to reach with the current xp system; or i imagine it would be) besides, anyone can really get all the certs they need right now; sure, you cant be CE, adv med, and adv hack and still have all the weps certs, but only the die-hards (myself included) would really want to have everything because it would take so long. If anything, make max br25 or 30, and dont increase xp gain at all, then only the die-hards who truly love the game would get everything they wanted.

Being BR20 is supposed to be something special, not something any guy can make in a month of hard playing. I hate these people that think of planetside as an rpg with fps stuff thrown in. You dont get any ranks in any other fps, so stop your whining and go play.

Right now there is quite a few BR 20 CR 5 people. It wouldn't take long for all those people to reach that BR 25 or 30. Then we would have a lot of people having EVERY cert possible. Which wouldn't be fair.

Yes, they've always said they wanted the battle rank gain to be relatively fast so players can customize their characters. They never wanted experience to be the reason people played. Five more cert points would be nice, but I believe that would be a little much and people would start to stop relying on the teamwork aspect.

The Devlopers are already said that the BR cap will be slowly raised as new certs come out so that way u can still get the new certs but not be able to get all in the game

I'm pretty sure SporkFire stated they would consider raising it IF the Dev team felt we needed more points for newer certs. Sure, the "expansion pack" will include new weapons, but what if they're all Medium Assault, Special Assault, blah blah blah?

Yeah lets put in ubber weapons, so we can hear threads after threads of people saying---
"It's not fair the BR 21 can get a Mini Nuke cannon and I can't"
"I get killed by Mini Nuke cannons too much, they need nerfed"
I say leave it as is, BR 20 is enought to amke a good warrior with the certs. Whne they advance the BR in the future I hope they have more certs..so your stuck with choosing an not having them all.

I made br 13 in 5 days on a trial account (was gone for the last two days :(), the exp system isn't too slow or fast, and that isn't what we're talking about here anyway. I think there should be no special weapons for BR20+, and I straightup know there wont be unless the dev team has a serious change of mindset. I like the idea where you simply gain more BRs after 20 infinitely, but the extra BRs have no benefits except for bragging rights. I'd actually already thought of the idea but I find it frivolous to even mention such things because honestly, it isn't going to ever be in game, so why bother?
