I am not sure if you all have ever heard of the games "Save the castle" or "Stick RPG" but I was reading their forums... The programmer released a special edition of his games on CD instead of asking for donations for the site, and it seems about 90% of his fans are kids under 13... For example:
PersonA: my dads home o god hes got to see my poll hes going to see its not spam ah hahahahahahaha
PersonB: what your dad is a memeber of the site
PersonA: no i wish he talk to skye (the programmer is spyke, not skye) but nooo im not talking to some guy i don't know but when im going to the mall my dad stops and sayes hi how are you and all these its just not fear
Just out of curiosity, does this sort of "kid speak" annoy you? It is like nails on a chalkboard for me... It almost seems like they are purposely spelling things wrong, leaving all sentence structure out, and trying to make the worst example of english on the net...

Jesus H. CHRIST, does it ever. God kills a kitten every time someone uses a single letter to abbreviate a three letter word.

sounds like aol speak to me. i dont know how people are suppost to read that crap.
however i must say i am guilty of almost never using capitals, bad spelling, and the occasional use of the letter "u" in place of "you." :o
but over all i dont even bother reading posts like that anymore, i just cant stand those kids
Overuse of "u" "r" and other stuff like that is annoying but i'm a lot more annoyed but the people who for some reason need to say "Omg" every 3 sentences.
"Some n00b: Omg i so killed you. You have an aimbot right? lol Omg just kidding. Omg omg omg omg"

Just wait till they start speaking it!
Ex:
James:"O.M.G! Henry guess what I saw yesterday? Mike got his bike stuck in the dirt.
Henry:"L.O.L"

Hooray! And here I thought Squeeky and I were gonna be driven out of PSU with sticks and torches and torches with sticks attached to them.
Oh, and I don't like it when my "peers" use KEKEKEKE^_^ in a non-mocking matter (I do it to mock its sheer idiocy).

I thought I should clarify: In the middle of any sort of game, I can understand if you use abbreviations and shortcuts because you're typically pressed for time. That's excusable. However, in chat rooms and on forums when you have PLENTY of time to post whatever the hell you want to, it's just plain stupid not to even make an attempt to use something that looks vaguely reminiscent of the English language.
There. I feel better now.

It's not so much kidspeak as it is AOL, or CS, or something like that

yeah, and then t3h 1337 5p34k comes in second on my "Things that annoy me online" list. Small doses and the odd word here and there can add comic relief to something, but when people constantly use it it pisses me off.
