Okay ALL customer support for this game believes everyone else in the world is stupid so in ALL the text in the support section of the main website there is not ONE peice of useful info... they effectively say nothing.

So that said.... What is the URL address to the login server? i need this so I can tell my firewall to accept information from it, also the URLs of the actual game servers would be nice too.

HELP ME! SAVE ME FROM THE INSANITY THAT IS CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!!!!

And now for somehing completely different...

strange I have a hardware firewall (router) and I havent had to open any ports etc.

What type of router is it? also I dont think a URL is required.

probably need the ports opening etc. to let the packets through.

I had to download the latest firmware for my router, otherwise it booted me every 5 minutes. After I upgraded the firmware though, it let me play PS perfectly fine.

You shouldn't need the URL itself, your firewall should have a place where you can allow different programs access to the internet. Open that up, find the planetside.exe folder which should be Program Files > Sony > Planetside and then inside the Planetside folder somewhere. Click the .exe file to allow it, then run Planetside as normal. You'll need to do this again every time they patch it.

Yeah, Norton Anti Virus just disallows some things so you have to get onto the administrator of your computer and run the program. then when you get to the point where the server couldn't connect a box will appear and ask if you want to always allow acces to that area, check the box and there you go.

Demon's Dragoons: ouch, stupid detonator.
