And there's some more paranoia for you, they're not after you as far as i can see. Al Quaida (sp?), if not long gone, has dwindled and there's a couple big guys that like to threaten people. Saddam is still saying American and Britain are going to "fall to Iraq's wrath".

There's times to worry, and times to be realisitic. Now's a time to be realistic. There's enough security in place that airports could pass as military bunkers now, and if you're from a mid-east/arab country they'll be even harder on you (it sucks that people have become this shallow due to a couple hundred people, out of millions).

If you're flying, fly...if you're going on vacation don't go cancel it because they found a camera with a stun grenade in it. God forbid anything else does happen, which i doubt it will, but the chances it'll be your flight are next to nil.

So yes, Americans are paranoid.

I do think that we have a reason to worry about somethings. I have said this before when I have flown. I carried a Fuji Digital Camera with me on my last trip to Alaska. I was never asked to open the camera bag jut place it on the x-ray machine. I watched the screenand seen the wiring that is in a Camera, and the slight space previded inside the casing. Someone could easily place enough C4 and a detonator to blow a nice size whole in and airplane. Don't get me wrong I love to fly, have been on mulitple vactions via airline. Yeah Security is beefed way to high, but I think they need to realize what to look for. I'm Ex-military here. I do know the nice new things that are being developed and have been released out there for domolition. Kewl shiznit out there. Also Asylum you commint about Mid-easterners is all wrong. I was traveling from FL to Alaska. Watched as an Arabic man, towel head on and everything(sorry about the racist remark, but oh well I don't care), walk through security normal run through. Then the American business man behind him gets stopped and basically strip searched to pass on. I was wearing Harley Davidson boots with metal brads in them, so the metal detectors go off on me. I had to take off my boots and they pulled my boots apart to make sure I wasn't carrying anything in them. The Mid-easterners get through easy, 'cause the last ones they stopped filed charges against airport for racial descrimition. God I hate that shiznit. So you see it's not all about your looks. That you are Mid-eastern or not. That you are paranoid or not. I think that it is them realizing the common sense things out there. The major problems with their security and fixing them.

Also I think that quote was from Conspericy Theory. Don't quote me on that one though.
